Where did you all go to college?
I think I'm going to transfer. SLU is a nice school, but I don't belong here.

Lie to me, it takes less time to drink you pretty.

Tommy Martyn had a proper education in England. For a number of reasons I would recommend it. Short academic year, only three years for the undergrad degree etc. And most of all May Week If you want to go to Cambridge like me and Tony Wilson (Or Tony Wilson and Charles Darwin and Issac Newton. The so called big three.) then you have to apply to the Cambridge International Admissions Office (That's right, CIAO) about twenty years before you get there. You would be surprised at who they take (Or being the kind of know it all Cambridge attracts .....) but the one thing you do need is a fan in the academic world. Is there a Don (at Cambridge we call them Dons - you call them professors) that thinks you are fab and super gifted. If so give it a whirl.
I would describe May Week but it just upsets the American students. Thank god I was over 21 by the time I came to live here.

Men outnumber women. Cambridge is not famous for good looking women. So you would do OK there. (Although Sylvia Plath was OK Has anybody seen the recent movie about her? I have a soft spot for the early part of the relationship. Me and Mrs Tommy did the brit boy/american girl thing, and at time of writing she has not stuck her head in the gas oven.)

Glad missy Tommy has her head out of the oven. That is if she doesn't hate me anymore.
I went to the University of Southern California. Lots of good looking people, but you'd hate most of them. Materialistic So Cal soon-to-be yuppies. Although there are good schools within the university, some of them...such as communications, for example, attract people who got in because their dad donated a building, and they really have no idea that America isn't actually the only place in the world worth seeing.
It's also a gated school in the middle of a terrible part of town, which was kind of cool during the Rodney King riots, but rather isolationist at most other times.
I enjoyed it alot, because I got out of New Jersey, loved the sunshine and sloved seeing more attractive, scantily clad women than I had ever seen before, and got a decent education. And oh, yeah, I also met the girl I've been with for the better part of 12 years there. Can't forget that either, since we've both kept our head out of ovens as well.

To all who are concerned:
this is the biggest mess -- my computer is broken -- It has no internet connection, and I am in the podunk library -- and will probably get kicked off of the computer due to the public use policy -- I know absolutely no one and have no connections to anyone -- this has taken a very long time to figure out, but please understand -- I have read a crap load this summer in order to figure out what is going on other than I do not have access to the computer and I live at the edge of the world it seems. That is what is going on. I've also listened to every cd that I can possibly get my hands -- I am not trying to play some game with anyone. Jesus, this is absolutely horrible, but it's not going to be that bad if you just calm down, understand that I am not trying to hurt you, my computer just seems to have the worst timing on the face of the planet. It did cut off every time I tried to post, email, whatever -- the last time I emailed you was the last time my computer connection worked.
I'm going to be honest, why not?
I thought someone from here had hacked me -- then I knew it couldn't have been you -- and wouldn't have -- I know this has been incredibly bizarre and confusing -- I have caused the confusion; as soon as we can talk like normal people then we will get this straight. I'm trying to get a line at my house it should be set up by the thirteenth if it does -- great -- if not, please just wait, if you want to talk to me I'll be here when I can, and if you want to use profanity you're going to have to be creative because I am not allowed to view sites with profanity at this library -- it is the Biblebelt.
I don't want you to do anything other than just relax, and take it easy.
I am not mad. You've not messed anything up other than our heads -- I should say we -- we've not messed up anything other than our heads -- we'll have to work on them as soon as I get my computer up and running -- not a metaphor, not anything other than I am really sorry that all of you have had to go through this
if you want to get something off of your chest, please feel free -- but for god's sake do it here where it is at least appropriate. I thought it wasn't, but now I'd much rather that -- so please feel free, I'm not going anywhere unless you want me to -- how this has become such a mess I don't know -- other than we do not know how to speak the same language it seems.
his is going to be fine if we just calm down and perhaps talk in simple sentences. I will not have access to any computer until the thirteenth at the earliest, okay? Be okay.

i spent my academic years in germany which is only a good idea if you want a free-of-charge education. in which case you gets what you pays for. grungy depressive students, dis-interested profs, poor counselling, overloaded curricula that make getting a degree a matter of years and years... sure it isn't that bad for everybody over here but my general slant is to be ignored at your own peril.
when i spent those splendid days in ireland this summer (about which i will write a lot more in due course) i took my daughter to see trinity and she liked it as much as i did. study in ireland or britain or france if you have the choice, is what i would tell any young smart thing.

hmmm... actually MC thanks for telling me about AUP because it looks veery interesting; unfortunately I have to finish the semester here and not off myself or someone else and probably next semester.
Alternatively, there is a study abroad program here in the netherland (which I'm aware I've misspelled damn) which I'll try to go for next semester or the upcoming fall.
In the meantime though, I'm thinking a lot of valium and other substances will be required; and I'll have to not sleep though class again thanks to my bitch of a roommate.

Wow that sara post was weird. Almost fictional, like she was trying to write a story as she went along.
I went to Uni of Virginia for awhile, and absolutely hated it. It made me swear not to attend a large university ever again and basically I just didn't like the people. Conservative Yuppie idiots with privileged parents, etc. It was a dumb idea for me to ever go there in the first place.
