Wow, I see there is a devil on Pax Acidus named Simon Rex, and some may possibly believe that it is me. Well that is not the case. My Pax Bashing days are long over and my wife and I are well beyond the past... in fact we were hoping the Sloth and McCutcheon will be in Cedarburg during this holiday week though I think that won't be the case, true?
And though, perhaps no one will care, I'd like to get back to posting more frequently on pax since my S&M Geocity friends kicked me off their website for objecting to the biting of ears. Apparently that's par for the course. But there seems to be a need in me to type on message boards so here I am.
But it is more of a realization that I miss the moderators of this board. For it is McCutcheon who turned me onto the likes of Tom Waits and Bukowski and I admittedly would not be the same person had it not been for his influence. And when I remember my high school days, I think fondly of our friendship and how I was lucky to not be completely confined to the walls of CHS and the small world of Wisconsin and how all that Cousin's drama was so real and good that I'll probably write some coming of age movie about the whole thing. Cause there are vivid scenes I remember like an afternoon on McCutcheon's farmhouse with a gray sky and the pulsating colors that came from everything else as we drank beers and shouted at that girl to frolick in the fields...
And of course I've never had ill-feelings about sloth, who was a truly great host when I showed at his doorstep for a week despite having spent just a day with him before. And a great week it was, "clothing optional rave" and all, and all the good poetry that flowed from me after that week.
So peace and good tidings guys. And here's hoping that next year will be a good one and that I don't die in New York as my dreams have foretold.
