New reality based tv show

I've come up with a new reality based television show. Here's the pitch: Bachelors come on the show and go out on a date with Pfc. Jessica Lynch. The young suitors take the wounded army cadet (and national hero) out for some wine and dinning, as a camera crew follows closely behind. We get to watch if Jessica has any baggage left over from the war. A highlight of the show could be when one of the amorous young men gets to second base and as he lifts up her shirt going for a tit the camera zooms in to a close up shot of her bullet wounds. Trust me, it will have them talking around the water cooler the next day.

That's fucked up. Not even the slightest bit funny. Crass maybe. Tacky maybe. But sure as hell not funny.

That Myke is exactly what I think of reality based tv shows and our countries fasination with them. Oh yeah, I don't like war either.

well actually when i moved in to my new swanky bachelor pad, i had considered the idea of having all my ex-girlfriends come over and compete to spend the night and service me. i ran the idea across one of them and she didnt like it. go figure.

Somehow I doubt when you made that post, Mc, that you were trying to extole the lack of virtues in reality programming and teach us all a lesson. If you wanted to do that you coulda just said "reality television sux". Instead you make a tacky little post inserting your views on the bad bad bad war and make what comes across as a demeaning poke at Jessica Lynch, who I might add, never was a gung-ho soilder to begin with. She was just trying to pay her way through college via the Montgomery GI Bill.

Perhaps another blurb during one of your neverending drunken exploits? Perhaps not.

Now I have gone and gotten crass and demeaning.

I'm not much into reality tv either but it's no worse than most of the other shit that's on all those channels. And a few reality based shows are exceptions to the rule. The "eco-challenge" from USA Network comes to mind.

See there Myke, just typing Ã¢â‚¬ËœReality TV sux' is just too blasé to cause a proper reaction. It's fun to stir things up, and it also blends the Ã¢â‚¬Ëœreality of TV' with the 'TV reality', if you will. I enjoy, as an artist, la, de, da, pretentious artist hocus pocus, to create a piece that is confrontational. How sick our we. How far will go as a society for ratings ie. mola, ie. MONEY! But now I've said to much. I'll let the piece stand on its' own.

Squid, my dear .. exactly how did you come to surmise from anything I said that I'm a couch potato? I don't even watch FRIENDS! However, I do catch an occasional episode of Alias. That Jennifer Garner can kick some ass.

Yes ... I saw that commericial too about the 911 call. Unbelievable. I think all the shit is less due to people's fascination with it than with so many channels being out their and quick mass communication, they'll put anything on the air to make a buck. Though that's somewhat akin to the same thing. Ah, well.

Now let me go walk my dog. Hmmmm ... maybe the extendable leash will reach thru the window and I can just drop her outside and let her do her business without moving a muscle. BWAH!

X ... was just being sarcastic a bit too! Oh, and I wasn't tryin' to insult writing "squid" ... it's just that every time I see your board name and try to pronounce it in my head as I read it, it comes out "squid". I don't know why.
