what kind of summer would it be without one of my horrid poe

Post by h. »

Jumping like a cricket
From leaf to
Spitting leaf.

Kissing all the frogs
Until they leap from
Me.

No princes appear,
Yet I am easy.
Free of the images
Lost in the imagining.

Muse, I have found.

What more can I lose
From the admiration
I have for a boy.
When I know
He's got it for
Me?

You're right, H. Good way to start the summer. Maybe you'll prod the clouds out of the way. Wow
I see the sun outside. Have to pull back the curtain.

I hope you don't take my crappy poem for sad, it's not Mark. I'm just recognizing that mutual admiration can be rewarding and it doesn't have to mean anything at all aside from that.
Though, I've noticed that it does make it hard to get up and raise the blinds when my girl leaves tomorrow for grandma's and king 5 keeps showing shots of my hometown, where she will be. I find that it's a sadness I have problems pushing back. A place I love and hate and have trouble returning to. Yet every time I see a shot of that familiar mountain across the water, I want to cry because I miss it. I wish that every corner and crevice of the place didn't seize me with pain for the memories they bring. But... I guess it's a lesson I'm going to have to teach myself. A place cannot be responsible for the things that happen there.

interesting, slightly disneyesque imagery

every so slightly pornographic too (but that's probably just crazy me)

the ability to take mutual admiration at face value sure goes a long way and yet, strangely enough, it is an ability lots of people do not have. it's nice to read a pleasant poem about this

pleasant... hmmm... disney-esque... hmmm.
If I didnt' know you Martino, I'd say bite me. But since I do, I know it's your nice way of calling it crap.
Still, you recognize the mutual admiration part (since I did spell it out.) so I CAN'T be THAT bitchy.

Tis true that it isn't something happened upon often.

ah h. dearie, my problem is i don't normally understand poetry (of course you might then ask, why do i make comment?) so i can only say whether i like a poem or not

i liked yours, so i said it was pleasant for me, which is really meant as praise, even though it might not sound like it
