McCutcheon DJing Linda's

Post by mccutcheon »

Tomorrow, Tuesday from 8pm to close, I'm DJing at Linda's. Linda's is a block down the road from my normal haut of Kinkoras, and for you morbid historians; the last place Kurt Corbain was seen alive.

The Flaming Lips have just made the best ecstasy album since Sreamadelic by Primal Scream. And Wayne their spiritual leader claims they don't take drugs anymore; but those in the know kinda think ecstasy isn't a drug. I just bought Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots, the latest release by Flaming Lips, which makes me an owner of this piece of majestic, magnificent, and magical music—so I get an opinion. I feel leader Wayne at the age of early forties, has got a new groove on. Look at this. On the fold out album the band is dressed as fury animals while they hold up disco balls. Now Wayne might complain about this, saying I'm just in it for the review. But come on, this is Pax Acidus and when we write an album is majestic, magnificent, and magical music, and we don't get paid for it and I am here taking ecstasy with the beautiful Amanda (who also loves the album) I have nothing I can add, except buy this album and take ecstasy with a loved one. The two official Pax Acidus deejays's --A&M United-- say so.

-So a few hours later. I've now been up for 24-Hour-Party People fame. And I'm listening to Johnny (The God) Cash. And I think Elvis died around this time. When I wake I'll look back on this shit I wrote, after (a long somber I hope). We DJ'ed and then we came home to have a private party of drugs and music, we took E when we came home, if you can guess this. My lover is asleep and I now have another beer in my hand. The sun has risen two hours ago. And I sit here half high and half dean and I think of Amanda, Sloth, h, Rosie, Martino, Jack, Sarah (where are you?), Julia (where were you?) special thanks again, like you can ever ‘thanks' enough Mark and Mavarick who made it tonight. Xtesse also made it tonight. Thank you but don't call me until tomorrow. And to the Black Men who recorded with Roots Manuva and David Holmes' ‘Free Association.

What will I put on now? I think it's time for some Spiritualized. Forgive this message if it went astray. --McCutcheon
