Car trip

Post by ROSEMARY »

jack, at your advice, i have been riding my bike everyday for two weeks. yesterday i went to downtown seattle on a hot 70 degree day. it was a great feeling having the wind in your hair and to see so many freaky people. not to mention the hotties, men and women.
i ride on sidewalks and without a helmut which is careless. i figure at this point i have lost so many friends, loved ones if i die it can't be bad. it seems like i should feel lonelier here.
but i use caution.
thanks for the tip. the endorphins that are released on a big hill like denny way are powerful and make you feel strong.
also, drinking and driving is at your own risk not others. i suppose unless it is a freak accident.

Am I the only one that hated the book zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance? Well I shouldn't say that. I hated the first one hundred pages where Pirsig whined and complained, so I put it down never to pick it up again. Possibly I was just getting to the "good stuff?"

JC, I don't agree. I think the author had a mental break down and learned how to get over it. He figured out how to except himself, have a beer, look with interest at something small, and take on something big. He was also not one bit scared of learning, understanding when he was wrong, and challenging his own thoughts. Without that he couldn't have taken on a university that tied his hands with conventions. And without that he wouldn't have gone back to relive and learn from his humiliations.

I think he'd say, that's fine, if you called him a whiner. He was called much worse, like a lunatic. It takes big balls to do something differently, and he did it differently.

Rosie you rawk. I'm thrilled that you are a biker now, too. Although, you should get a helmet, and riding on the roads with cars is much safer than riding on sidewalks. Unless you are going slowly on the sidewalks people watching, which is very fun from the saddle of a bicycle. But in some cities, I have heard of cops ticketing bicyclists on sidewalks. Also, I suggest that you soon invest in a pair of cycling shorts. These are my favorite shorts. http://www.carsrcoffins.com/crckit.html If you wear the 100% lycra/spandex shorts, you will feel like a superhero. And get a pair of cycling gloves with padded hands. I never ride without gloves. Since you probably don't have clipless pedals, Vans classic slip-ons are great shoes for biking.

Guys and Gals, especially JC, whom I laid into,
I don't know what was wrong with me, except I seemed to be having a ridiculous bitch day. I apologize. There's no excuse for being a bitch to men who in no way deserve it

I got up at three in the morning to post this because I hate that I was a bitch to you, JC; Sooo sorry!!

Sarah, I did not think you were being a bitch, but, of course, I could not see your face. Some women have very bitchy facial expressions. Rosie, you are sexy with boot on a bike. Jeans put a lot of pressure on my balls, so I undo the fly, when I ride with jeans.

Sarah, no need for apology. Nothing and everything bothers me these days, if that makes sense at all?

Mizzou Jack- Kaboom indeed! That "cereal" looks mighty tasty. But what looks even better is the figure holding the cereal.

Jack have you heard of the band Bicycle? You can listen to an MP3 of theirs on our music page. They tour on bikes. Check it out. The lead singer lives two blocks from me.
