Whew, well that's good to know, I remember checking it last night to see it was kaput. Also, I walked by that restaurant again today and thought of you, Sloth. I was both perturbed and concerned that the bulletin board had gone down, but I just figured you were getting creative and I'd just have to live with it. This was before I spoke to McC on the phone, btw.
I'm really getting into an old Scottish band from 1980 called Josef K. I only now see that they gave birth to the entire C86 movement that spawned The Wedding Present. But to me their most fascinating moments are when they quit the faster-than-fast pop and slow down or get funky. See "It's Kinda Funny" (my favorite) or if you wanna get funky, "Heart Of Song".
This is all of course attribuatable to the efforts of LTM Records. I would like to die with as many LTM CD's as I could have. Josef K weren't even on Factory.
My roomate is working at the Capitol Hill block party today/night. He is working again when it happens again on Sunday. I just decided not to go.
There were some bands I might have wanted to check out, but they were performing on Sunday and I can't go Sunday. Also I couldn't see the sense in paying for beer when I've just bought plenty of alcohol in stores. I've got Raspberry Vodka now. But I don't drink it exclusively. No, it's a treat, I spread it out. I mashed up some strawberries and added it last night. Cool huh?
It's summertime we've got to try to be happy once in awhile! Why not now?
