No More Bozo

Post by Sloth »

Due to popular demand, all of Bozo's posts have been deleted.

Some of the threads will appear weird because the references to his obnoxious posts are still there, but I am sure we all agree that it's better this way.

Bozo's posting privileges have been removed.

He/She/It could, of course, come back as another new user.

And there are additional measures to implement if that happens.

Thank you for your patience,

Ooh the Sloth

Maybe we should also drop the 'welcome to our newest member' Bozo.

Well, I went out and found this song just for Bozo, but since he's been deleted . . . I'm going to post it anyway because it's an awesome song

TIME
Well, the smart money's on Harlow
And the moon is in the street
The shadow boys are breaking all the laws
And you're east of East St. Louis
And the wind is making speeches
And the rain sounds like a round of applause
Napoleon is weeping in the Carnival saloon
His invisible fiance is in the mirror
The band is going home
It's raining hammers, it's raining nails
Yes, it's true, there's nothing left for him down here
Chorus:
And it's Time Time Time
And it's Time Time Time
And it's Time Time Time
That you love
And it's Time Time Time
And they all pretend they're Orphans
And their memory's like a train
You can see it getting smaller as it pulls away
And the things you can't remember
Tell the things you can't forget that
History puts a saint in every dream
Well she said she'd stick around
Until the bandages came off
But these mamas boys just don't know when to quit
And Matilda asks the sailors are those dreams
Or are those prayers
So just close your eyes, son
And this won't hurt a bit
Chorus
Well, things are pretty lousy for a calendar girl
The boys just dive right off the cars
And splash into the streets
And when she's on a roll she pulls a razor
From her boot and a thousand
Pigeons fall around her feet
So put a candle in the window
And a kiss upon his lips
Till the dish outside the window fills with rain
Just like a stranger with the weeds in your heart
And pay the fiddler off till I come back again

well, at the risk of hypocrisy, good riddance if you ask me. BTW Mc, I'm going to be bus riding out to Los Angeles in the next few weeks, but i will be stopping in Seattle first. What nights do you spin at Kinkoras, because I will buy you a drink. I owe you that much.

And now Martino, you will stay, correct? And Sarah, that is a killer song, I just bought "Closing Time" and think it is of average quality. What Tom Waits would anyone recommend?

Jack I get my drinks for free so I can get you one. I am there every sat nite.

You should get early years vol 2. It has lots of songs from Closing Time but acoustic versions. Classic stuff. With Tom you have to be patient and he will reward you. Also get the album with The piano has been drinking & Pasties and a g-string. I've played it so many times I've gone through three copies.

Martino when are you in Seattle? I'm back!

things are looking up. ooh has his steady hand on the tiller, bozo is in bondage, the weather is fantastic, and it looks like you matt had a swell time aboard the USS (What's So Funny 'bout) Peace Love and Understanding.

i am gonna check with my auntie ilse in eugene and with my client toyoda in tokyo to try to set up a sensible agenda. damn, i'd like to make it to rosie's housewarming but i think it won't fly. i mean, i won't be flying by then, which sucks. but i will keep you posted, mc -- please give me till early next week. thanks!

I must say this thread is the best in many months. I won't be in the NorthWest by the 25th Rosie. I'm looking at sometime around June 10th or so. My initial plans were for Los Angeles only, but I think it would be healthy to cruise down the entire coast, albeit via the greyhound. Nonetheless, i'll be poor but in high spirits. Can't wait.
