sitting at home watching films
anyone who has gone to the video store with me has always found it a little bit emarassing. People can't understand how I could have studied film in Paris and seen so many movies and have a wide cinamatic knwoledge could rent such crap movies. Here is the thing- I love romatic comadies and tenn flicks. I mean even girls laugh at me. Julia refused to watch whatever I rented. Why am I writing all this. I'm bored. Anyway here is a tip. go rent Crime and Punishment in Suburbia. Yup a teen flick based on the Dostoyevsky epic. There is no way in hell this movie should work. but it's so great. Even Monic Keena the lead actress looks like a real American high school girl--small tits and fat thighs that rub together, unlike say, oh Denise Richards in Wild Things--which I love!!!! So how can a Russian novel written by perhaps the best writer to ever live be trasformed into a teen flick? I don't know I'm too hungover to give it any thought. But I know good films--I studied film in Paris! I must do. Rent this today.

yes, he plays, "a demented little fucker" and has great lines about fucking on crack and hating the police.

Sometime in the next ten years I'm going to get him to play Paul Pena in the blues film "Universal Joy Makers" that I will make. he's a brilliant actor and Pena is just an amazing man. See Wright in "Ride with the Devil" and "Basquiat"

yes then, he is a really good actor..i wasn't familiar with his name and haven't seen anything with him since.

Yeah he may be the best black actor working right now. See Ride with the Devil to see more of his work. Warning it's a civil war movie and Jewell's in it, so if you don't go for that you may not enjoy it. But if you understand the value of a great film.....

yeah race generalizations do suck but they are a reality. Nicholson is probably the best white actor or Pacino. but i doubt that you were even asking a question.
