Yasmine is supposed to be one of the new ones ... but I thought it was horrible. It made me fat, hypo-glycemic, and all around grumpy. I had HUGE boobs though. Seriously.

i'm about to get really huge boobs. i'm not really looking forward to it. i have little ones. i like them and i don't want big ones -- but it is inevitable with breastfeeding. they will shrink though i hope.

yeah, though about feeling fat, i've never been on the pill so i don't know exactly what happens, from experience. but be warned a girlfriend of mine, she's thirty-one, so you can imagine how long she's been on birth control says that each time you switch you add something like five pounds that won't come off.

I love both these songs. Know your enemy may be why I've stayed in school. I'm really glad you played it. I hope Rage always get played by those who are educating themselves and dead prez too.

Everything you said about the hormones is true, add to it that red meat is carcinogenic and already linked to colon cancer -- and i think the carcinogens are unavoidable even with organic meats. dunno. But I'd love to see a Truth add about that. Perhaps someone could put out a cigarette in a rib eye and call it even.

I'm looking forward to seeing Fast Food Nation. I want to know if Kris Kristofferson is playing the rancher who made me cry when I read that part to the hubby, the one who killed himself -- I am pretty sure he is because I just read a review of it: “Meanwhile Don's investigation leads him to anti-Mickey's rancher, Kris Kristofferson,â€￾ but it's a fictionalized account of the real book, and he's only got one scene, so I'm thinking they won't do his whole story, which is a shame really -- truth is more moving than fiction -- as Truman Capote found out .

I lost 10 pounds but can't seem to lose anymore no matter how little I eat or how much I run. Not even dancing!

I'm a vegetarian. But somewhere along the way I got grossed out with this thread during Pixie's long post and started thinking about meat and I just can't read it anymore. Sorry. I am very drunk. In fact, I'm too drunk for the other boards I normally visit. I don't want to think about meat. Thanks.

But anyway one thing I did want to say on this board was that I saw a bumper sticker on a vehicle at the health food store tonight and it was THE best bumper sticker I've ever seen that was Bush related, which is saying a lot. It had white letters on a black background, and it simply said "GEORGE W. BUSH IS A LYING SACK OF SHIT". I laughed out loud. I mean there is no attempt there to sloganeer or reduce everything down to a visual, or intellectualize it. That is just about as honest as it gets, in naked, unadorned, unpoetic layman's terms. Classic.

Today, there is more reason for me to celebrate -- first rummy, now a real change that counts!

I spoke with my brother yesterday, I love talking to him, we don't always agree but we have these great three or four hour discussions where I learn something, and he was telling me that he thinks that part of our problems -- his and mine -- is that we are not focused on singular issues. That the folks who bring about the most change are the most focused, I'd have to say, Al Gore's recent focus would be a good example of what he said. And I do believe this is more evidence that in a weird way it is a great, great thing that gore is not president (after all I think he was pro-censorship, at least tipper was, and that always made me uncomfortable, but now that he is an activist -- he is dynamite!) I hope everyone saw an inconvenient truth -- this is a cheerleader day for gore! When he and Clinton were in office, even though he fought for Kyoto, he could do nothing with congress, now the tide has turned -- I LOVE IT!
