I'm going to rent Purple Rain today

Yes that's right. I'm going to rent the Prince film Purple Rain today.

Someone on the other board had asked if the song he plays on piano in the film is really a song by Prince's real father instead of just the father of the character in the film. A few people laughed at the person for asking before someone came in an confirmed that indeed, that song was by Prince's real father. Classic. I've been meaning to watch this again for awhile now. I could go get it at Blockbuster but I hate Blockbuster so I'm waiting for the indie store to open in about 3 hours.

I wish I could explain the satisfaction I felt when someone came along and confirmed that song was by Prince's real father. Anytime I've ever seen the film, I always believed it was. But this board is so nasty to people...they're so fucking full of themselves. It's nice to see the bubble of conceit pop!

I'm so ashamed to admit I woke up Monday morning realizing I had never in fact rented Purple Rain at all. And I could have even walked to the store but I forgot. Oh well. Tomorrow is another day.
