I have no doubt that Sloth and McC know of this station, but alas I have only recently discovered it on Internet Radio because I do not live in Seattle.

I have always leaned more toward the chill side of electronica, starting 10 years or so ago back when it was called Acid Jazz and Trip Hop. I have no idea what it's called these days, but this station nails it dead in the ass. It's become the only thing I listen to anymore.
I feel so old. I don't keep up with what's fresh anymore, not really. So when I stumble upon something like this just to be reminded of what I've been missing out on all these years, well, I can't help it, especially when I've always considered it my favorite genre. It's like discovering beef is your favorite food then finding out years later that now it comes in flavors other than raw.
Anyway, that's the place, I reckon Sloth and McC have known about it forever because of their association with Seattle and the music scene there, but for the rest of you, do check it out. Especially if your musical tastes are like mine.

Well actually I'm going to try this again cause I have my real player set up for dial up now.
In the meantime I gotta say, the BBC has been playing some deliciously satisfying dance music. www.bbc.co.uk look for "6 music" you see I got directed there originally because the other board said Vini Reilly was on it this week, doing a few songs but by the time I tuned in, it was over. So I'll have to wait only a half hour before the end of the show now and then I think bbc will make it possible to hear the show again, and therefore, Vini. SACRED VINI REILLY PERFORMING LIVE IN REAL TIME !!!!!
All this was very strange because I was only playing Vini Reilly on my CD player about an hour ago before I found out about this.

Yeah
Hey Marky, if you have a broadband connection, the best thing to do is let the site stream through Media Player, but make sure your settings are set to at least 768Kbps. I've never had so much as a hiccup with it set up that way. Yes, leaving it set to dialup will cause it to break up that way.
I love Internet radio, too. Check out Pulsradio.com. It's a French station (or as they say here in Texas, "Franch") so they have the European angle on things, which is always better. I've posted about this one before, but there you go.

Problem is I don't have a broadband connection, dude. For awhile I was lucky enough to mooch off the neighbors connection with my laptop but those days are gone. In order to get broadband in my area I'd first have to get cable TV and I estimate the whole package would cost about $100 a month. No DSL is available in my area, either. It just won't get better until I move, whenever that is.
Some internet radio stations are set up to work well with dialup and some aren't. I will look into this pulsradio. I don't remember you posting about it, sorry.

Musn't have too much whiskey tonight, concentrate on the cheap beer to avoid hangovers that will stop me reading the stupid textbook tomorrow. In situations like this, beer can be very helpful. The difference between the hangover today and the hangover yesterday morning was dramatic. Beer CAN be a good thing sometimes.
Shouldn't have given up the wine, I see that now, but it's too late, I've run out of money anyway. Beer and whiskey it is this weekend. Although for Christ's sake NOT TOGETHER IN THE SAME GLASS. Don't get me wrong.
It's supposed to be bloody SUMMER but we've had GREY SKIES FOR A WEEK AND LAST NIGHT IT WAS POURING I MEAN POURING DOWN RAIN AND STILL IT IS GREY GREY GREY GREY GREY AS THOUGH NATURE WERE ONLY TEASING US THERE FOR A FEW WEEKS THAT WE WERE GOING TO GET SOME SUNSHINE etc etc etc etc etc etc
Cheers,
