I read all five (I think) essays in the Atlantic as they came out. Now they have been stretched out into a book. This is the most fun book review I have read in a while.

I see that this ignited the passions first time around. The drama continues.

"Marky made me do it. As if I don't hear my own kids blaming one another every five minutes. Ten minutes in your room now! (with your hands on top of the sheets.) Then we'll see about you getting an ice cream or not."
(i know this is a personal/private conversation between you two, or apparently, three boys, but i just have to comment that it's really cute. i think it's the ice cream comment after the hands on the top of the sheets, actually, i'm not sure what that implies, i was never punished like that, what exactly are you punishing them for -- having there hands under the sheets? come on this is paxacidus, kids don't get punished for having their hands under the sheets here i'm being a bit gross i guess, so i'll have to envision mc as one of the kids who won't get ice cream because i'm pretty sure his hands don't stay above the sheets! it's just funny on a friday, thanks for sharing.)
