I've always hated the phrase ‘blogs' or ‘bloggers' and I hated blogs or bloggers. ‘Always' what does that mean? It hasn't been very long at all. And why would I hate this? All it is is people writing and posting their stuff on the Internet. I guess I'm a blogger. And I wondered why I hated these terms or expression, when I never even read blogs. I'd say the media duped me, because I did read that blogs sucked somewhere. And was this because these media people in charge felt threatened. Anyone can do what he or she does. It's true. The secret is out. Besides, it's just another form of expression. Hating blogs before even reading a blog made me do something I personally try to avoid. I had made up my opinion without knowing what I really thought. Shame on me.

I'm wondering...is it usually the wives who want more kids while the husbands feel otherwise? I have a male friend who was going through the same thing with his wife not too long ago. He didn't go into the specifics of how they worked it through, but next thing I knew he told me she was pregnant again.
There's a lot of replies here. It starts out with the idealistic moms but on the second page you see some more realistic views and it gets a bit confrontational:

That said, maybe in your case it isn't so much of a money thing that is at stake.

It goes both ways Marky ...
I have a few friends in which case it's the husbands pushing for more... In one case she says once the baby turns two maybe (but probalby not) and in the other well... it's a little different: she currently has two children but they are not her husband's. I understand his desire to have children of his own but she has health issues ... and has just had her tubes tied.
Eitherway thought usually I think it is the women because women in this culture (and a lot of cultures really) are raised to believe that the greatest thing they can do or the only thing they can do really is to have kids and be a mommy. The Mother identity is a huge thing for most women.

Lie to me, it takes less time to drink you pretty.
"About a week or so ago his school came on the phone for a fundraiser. Some of you may recall that I (old school leftwinger from the working class who married money) have a difficult time with private schools. Look at the history of England for reasons why. The school my kids are at is expensive. I told the lady that I could not give money to kids who already had more than their share, when the public school where I live has cut its art and music programmes and is short of books etc. It was not what she wanted to hear. We had a row for about five minutes during which she told me that it was a matter of choice for her to send her kids there. I pointed out that most folks didn't have that choice. It was in fact a luxury item. How can you ask me to subsidise luxuries? The one thing I wished I had said was the line that the evangelicals trot out. "What would Jesus do?"
tommy, i absolutely love your response to that person. good for you.
so did you two decide to have a baby or not?
