Imagine
I walked to my writing group and went to Strawberry Fields in Cenrtal Park -- 72st CPW and there was music being played and all that.

Just got back from Michigan. Last week I was kayaking round a lake in the late afternoon sunshine. A woman came floating toward me on some sort of inflatable. I gave her my big hearty hello because I'm a friendly guy and her swimsuit was all wet and sticking to her bum as she lay on her belly. Each buttock was glistening. Mmmmmmmm. It immediately became obvious to her that I wasn't a local and instead of talking about spanking her luscious booty, we had to reflect upon the grim reality of terrorist activities.
Actually, I was touched by her genuine concern. She was worried that because I was out in the middle of nowhere, I might not have heard the bad news. There is no personal bad news. All my friends and family that live in London are OK. I'm worried about my sister but only because she is due to have a baby any day now. Making me an Uncle for the 7th time. In legends seventh sons are always getting mysterious powers. I wonder if I'll get a cosmic talent.

this is just one day in Baghdad.
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - A suicide attacker detonated explosives strapped to his body Saturday at a gas station near a Shiite mosque south of Baghdad, triggering a huge explosion in a fuel tanker and killing at least 54 people, police said.
Eighty-two people were injured.
Shit.

Panic on the streets of London
Iraqi's are people too. 9/11, 7/7, 7/16 and almost any other date for the past two years…
I'm not being harsh- but we have to make the connection. all life and death matters. In my own way I have had my own thoughts- silently praying for all the British I've meet at my DJing nights and hoping that all I know that live in London are safe. And they are.

All I can say is I take no responsibility for the shithole we are in politically. That's all I'm getting at. The shit stinks, and it's a mighty big mound of it in all our front yards, but I didn't put it there. Right I'm off to the pub.
Anyone heard this delightful new band from Liverpool called The Dead 60s? They do a REAL nice version of post-punk, make no mistake.
I also think Brian Eno's "Another Day On Earth" is album of the year so far.

Louder than bombs
What the fuck is this? At least no one was killed.
Well I'm heading to London tomorrow...
I don't know you whether you will believe this or not... but Fox News comes with basic cable in Sweden. No that is not a misprint. I will repeat myself. With basic cable in Sweden you get CNN and Fox News.
I just watched two talking heads screaming at each other over how best to fight terrorism... and I got to thinking... it is 2005 and we are in the midst of a Holy War. It is unbelievable.
The Limeys just shot a guy five times in the tube the other day who didn't seem to have anything to do with the bombings. The Yanks are fucking crazier than ever and are the best thing to happen to Islam fundamentalism since the burka.
People who live in cities... expect to see lots of bloody limbs.
People who live in the suburbs... this is all your fault.
Organized religion is the escape pod of the intellectual coward.
