The Oscars always get it wrong. And this might be, and should be the year of Jamie Foxx, and it might not be, but should surely be the year for Dom Chelde. But I just want to say, in my own racist way, that the best African American actor working today is Mos Def. Who would have thunk it?
Ya gotta watch Something The Lord Made & The Woodsman.

Having seen exactly none of the movies on show, I can't comment on the prizes. I watched the opening bit with Chris Rock, which seemed to be OK for primetime. I was fucking sick as a parrot when I found out this morning that Penelope Cruz and Selma Hayek came out together to hand out a gong. Man, what I would give to be the meat in that sandwich.

I missed it - I'm disappointed. It's a fast tradition to watch all the tiny women in beautiful gowns (or hideous gowns...) to remind myself that I don't deserve to eat.
Then again it's difficult to watch these things when you don't own a TV - the pictures found of the red carpet online are nowhere near as good. That being said Kirsten Dunst looked stunning (as usual).

Lie to me, it takes less time to drink you pretty.
