You mean moving away permanently? That sucks. Reminds me of the time a friend and I caught this DJ at the Lava Lounge who played all these old cool records and we found out he was leaving town right after the gig. Grrrr.

i haven't heard the new radiohead material. i heard it is serviceable radiohead that somewhat sounds like a best of track list, only the songs are new. sounds fine to me. i'm not all that excited about it, but i'll get it and listen to it and probably like it.

danny, alas, is leaving town on the tenth and is most likely not going to play between now and then. i think that's the only show he played in seattle while he's been living here for a couple months.

I have the new Radiohead.

I can't tell for sure yet but it seems to suck.

Well I remember one person saying it had a terrible lack of strings on it. That alone is bad news in my book. I think I'm just going to ignore it until it comes out, as I fear my expectations are secretly too high.

i had a copy of it and somehow lost it on my way home from new york. i meant to listen to it on the plane but instead watched several hours of tv while drifting in and out of a not very deep sleep, as jet blue's seat's just don't recline far enough. i'll get a new copy.

anyways, i know a few people who dj at the lava occasionally. they're fun kids, but they aren't leaving yet. revolver on wednesday if you're interested in a britpop/indie/dance/cabaret/the stuckups/etcetcetc all for the price of five dollars and cheap pabst and hite.

Revolver at the Lava Lounge you mean? Or somewhere else? Sounds cool I'd like to check it out someday when I'm not drowning in work and schoolwork. This is a very hectic and frustrating first week of the quarter, and I'm gonna have to work more than I did the last two quarters as well.

revolver occurs once a month at chop suey.

i hope your second week of the quarter is doing better. my first week was a little hectic as well. a sort of a personal crisis arose mid week and i had my first day of playing hookie last thursday. i have a lot of reading to do. one thing i've learned since returning to school after five years hiatus is that i don't know how to read a textbook or write a paper... or think really. i suppose that is part of the reason why i'm back in school. to give my lazy brain a jump start.

anyways, like the bad radiohead fan that i am, i have the mp3s from hail to the thief posted at:
