Fat Actors
Do you ever wake up in the middle of the night in a frenzied sweat and realize that your whole life you always thought that Daniel Roebuck and Mark Holton were the same person. When it fact they ain't.
Dan was Sampson in Rivers Edge and Mark was Francis in Pee Wee's Big Adventure.
Rabbit could we get pictures of these two, from those films (made only one year a part in the mid 80's) posted here please? And if Rabbit can't do it could someone else. Thanks.
And if you never saw River's Edge, well you just must, it is just great. It is the first Grunge movie ever made. Look at all that flannel.
Pee Wee's is about a pediphile geek running around in a red bow tie.
Speaking of the 80's I love the Fall albums that came out in the late 80's and early 90's, even though most people don't. Just proves most people don't have good taste like me.

urich vs wagner
a couple years back, i had a baffling dream where robert urich woke me with a phone call to demand why i didn't invite him to a brunch banquet at the westin. i woke up by my alarm, and realized that the phone really was ringing (turned out to be a friend in s.l.c. drunk dialing me... i didn't pick up). i then realized that i'd rather be subconsciously worrying about tv stars' invitations to banquets than consciously helping people with their dsl installations. so i went back to sleep and woke up an hour late for work.
when i got to work i imdb'd robert urich and found out that i'd been confusing him with robert wagner for years. urich=spenser for hire. wagner=hart to hart (and #2 from austin powers). i also found out that robert urich had died just a few months prior. i took this to mean that robert urich was contacting me from beyond the grave to tell me to quit wasting my life at that crap job, and i gave notice to my boss a week later, and went back to school.
i don't really think robert urich was contacting me from beyond the grave. i think i just really hated working there and needed to quit anyways. i was looking for any excuse to do so. but it turned out to be one of the best things decisions i ever made.
by the way, mcc, i love river's edge. one of my favorites.

Come Back
Daniel Roebuck is in Bubba Ho-tep, a movie I recommend. But not as much as the greatest film ever made....Roller Bo0gie. If you ever get a chance to see this masterpiece grab it. And yes, that is where the character Roller Girl from Bo0gie Nights comes from. Roller Bo0gie works on so many levels- it has it all, roller skates, roller derby, roller rinks, and short shorts. Plus the gayest non-gay scene ever, when the owner of the roller rink is going to lose his joint to some heavies with feathered hair (they want to turn it into a shopping mall) and the owner says, “America doesn't need another shopping mall. Alas the pressure is too much so he turns to the drink- a generic plastic bottle with Whiskey written on it. The young hero of the story comes to help his mentor. How does he do this? By putting in a tape of a cheesy ballad and dancing alone like a ballet dancer on roller skates, under the disco ball of the empty roller rink. He jumps, he twists, he rolls. And of course there is a chase scene where a Cadillac chases the young hero and significant other, as they make their getaway, on roller skates, of course, they go over a bump and sky a whole half inch into the air. Cinematic greatness doesn't come better than this.

People actually eat peanut butter and pickle sandwiches?

I guess my analogy was an understatment.
Let me rephrase that....
Britain and teeth are like George Bush and anything sensible.

well...
i loves pickles. and i like peanut butter quite a bit. but i don't think they belong together, much less with bread. it wasn't so much that it was gross as it was really sort of confusing and baffling. who thought it was a good idea and why do people do it? but i was stoned, i had stoner munchies. i ate it and i do believe i may be a better person because of it if for no other reason other than i lived to tell you all about it today. its not really at the top of my list of things to try again, though.
peanut butter and banana sandwiches, on the other hand, are quite tasty.
