I respect Free Verse poems as a type of literature, but I don't believe that they take any skill at all to write. Is it Free Verse or Open Verse or Open Form, or Free Form, or what?

Kitten of course I love it.
I am not goth or anything stupid like that, but when you can turn a spring month into a seductive killer and then twist some weird land north of the ocean in there and the terible insincerity of your father figure, what's not to like? Is this poem about Kurt or is that just a coincidence. You may be the most talented person on this board. I don't say that lightly (I weigh 220 pounds).
Me, I drank all the Sprite and Chambord making Grape Nehis. I gotta go chase away some more demons with some Vodka cranberries (my new drink of the day now that the Sprite is gone). The poem gets my thumbs up. I think Nick is a little too immature to get it (16 year old boys are not supposed to be mature so no hard feelings Nicky enjoy it while it lasts... you don't see too many pacifists contemplating suicide).

it's not really about kurt, but he's my most favorite person in the whole universe and i like that picture b/c he had really beautiful eyes i think. i hate april more than any month b/c pretty much every year it's brought on a suicide attempt and i think when i die it will probably be in april. those horror stories are a diary of my dad's i found detailing all of his emotional problems from day one and i like cried my eyes out when i read it- i wish i'd never found it. and there's this beach called folly beach where i swear the sun never goes down, even at 4 in the morning; it's wierd. i'm really glad you like it tho, it's very flattering!
I liked the poem, and to say that free verse takes no skill is bullshit. Now Bukowski, there is the art of free verse. Free verse is all about timing and accuracy of the moment, the beats that let the moment breathe.
I did think there were a couple awkward beats in "April." But on the whole it was there...

Jesus H fucking Christ on a bike. I honestly don't know where to begin..... April really is the cruellest month if it gave us this poem.
If the work isn't really about the mono talented addict from Washington State then why have the picture up there? Why not a picture of a turd? Kurt is one of my favourite people too. I like the way he decided to focus on his drug taking instead of looking after his kid. Never mind his suicide - which has saddled his aging mother with a deeply pschologically scarred child to raise, while having to contest with a deranged drug addled birth mother. If this is what being "sensitive" is all about, then thank fuck that I'm a twat.
The poem itself is not very good but that's OK. Practice. Practice. Practice.
