THE END OF BUSH

Post by marky »

Boogie down and disco people, WE ARE GOING TO BEAT BUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His ratings in the polls are at 47%!!! Things only stay Republican for so long in this country. The Republican party is scared by the amount of people that have showed up for the Caucuses. The independent voters are on our side. Take heart. The nightmare will end. I believe it. I really do.

Democracy and fiscal restraint must win in America.

Myke and Mav, will you vote dem in November?

Of course I will...I voted for Gore, even though I wasn't thrilled with him. I voted for Clinton, but still wish that Colin Powell would have run. Kerry seems decent, but I need to find out more about him. Of all ofthe remaining candidates, he has the most presidential appearance, which unfortunately does count for something.

I just gotta say I'm amazed at how many people have abandoned registering their true liberal feelings in favor of supporting the candidate they think will beat Bush. Even the guy who came from the Kerry camp to try and convince us Dean people made the argument of electability. In another perfect world, that guy would have been Kucinich or Dean all the way. If the Republican party was even 15% as willing to be diplomatic and conciliatory as the Dems....my god we'd have one hell of a country.

I just keep thinking of the woman and man that tried to convince us Dean people to convert to Kerry or Kucinich. If we chose the one we all really wanted, we'd lose the election. There's something really weird about that. Democracy in a two-party system is mother fucking weird.

I almost envy independents who have no problem vacillating between the two.

Also, considering I happen to be taking a 20th century history class (I wanted to take Shakespeare, but the class was at an inconvenient time), I'd like to point out that in 1920 we ALSO had a corrupt Attorney General like Ashcroft. 4000 people were taken into custody without warrants and beaten if they resisted. The percieved threat then was communism, but many arrested were innocent. Dare I bring up the famous line "those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it".

Look, anyone who believes Bush can be beaten should hear Chic's "Good Times". Even if you don't believe it, you should still take a listen, even if you've heard it before.

Perhaps one day it will be Kerry's campaign song.
