Freedom Fries man changes mind

Post by mccutcheon » Mon Jun 13, 2005 7:37 pm

The congress man who wanted French Fries to be renamed Freedom Fries after France was against the war in Iraq has changed is mind. He now wants them to be called Liar Liar Pants On Fire Fries.

Asked about his change of heart on the war, Jones said he had attended two years ago the funeral of soldier, a married father of three, who was killed in Iraq. "That really has been on my mind and my heart ever since."

He added: "When I look at the number of men and women who have been killed -- it's almost 1,700 now, in addition to close to 12,000 have been severely wounded -- and I just feel that the reason of going in for weapons of mass destruction, the ability of the Iraqis to make a nuclear weapon, that's all been proven that it was never there."

"And my heart aches, quite frankly."

You want Fries with that Ache? I can Super Size that Ache for you.

I too am sick of hearing about people who do dumb things and then have a change of heart. I mean... Hitler probably did the same thing right before he shit himself in his bunker.

right, he can change his mind now, but fuck him for not knowing the truth before the war. I was unemployed and researched, this thing was bull shit. but i've got quite the memory of when this war started, I was working on the oscars, the war started a couple days before, actually on the night i watched war coverage with tim robbins, who was in tears. a bueatiful man, and as we were bombing iraq i was standing next to selma hyak, screaming on the phone to my grandma that I loved her, she was dying and hallucinating. very surreal, war on tv, grandma dying on phone, and selma hyak and i having a cigarette.
