Personally I would rather see the lovely long legged Davenport or the vivacious Capriati trounce the cocky Serena into the All England Club's grass courts. But if it must be a Williams ... let it be Venus. She's not nearly as annoying.

Allright first of all I'm glad you answered the question I haven't had time to ask - is Wimbledon live anywhere on T.V.? I'm sad it's not. But I want to watch anyway damnit. I read a blurb that said Venus and Serena are still in the game.

Congrats, Mav. And good luck with your new racket, McC. Ooh, I can't fucking believe you typed the words "Domo Arigato Mr. Roboto". I am literally laughing out loud at this moment (drunkenly, but nevertheless). If you could only share the memory I have of playing that stupid 45 over and over and over when I was oh...12 years old and slapping my knee with great force with every syllable...

Okay this isn't the music thread. Back to tennis. When I can I watch Wimbledon? I don't even have cable. Must be Sat. morning again. I'll set my alarm. And is there any chance I can see you guys play sometime?

I actually went out and jogged around Greenlake last night. I was pleased in that I managed to do 20 minutes straight and I haven't even tried in a long time. Usually when I try after not having done it awhile I can't get over 10 or 15 minutes. Now I've got to work myself back up to where I was years ago - 45 minutes at a stretch.

Myke, Venus? Are you serious? Have you seen Serena? She is freaking hot. Venus looks like her Dad, poor goirl. Serena has matured a lot as of late, and her body is sweet. Watching her play tennis has caused me to become an expert on the catch and wipe move.

It's on live this 4th of July morning on ESPN. It's pretty much on most of the day.

Brett ... see I was trying to be all diplomatic. Serena is the better lookin' of the two but her attitude leaves a bit to be desired.

Well I caught the men's semi finals today. Not as fun as watching the women, but you can't have everything...anyway, if that Federer guy plays the final anything like he did against Roddick he ought to win. Some of those shots no one could possibly have competed against.

I was disappointed to see the Aussie guy win, the one who's name started with a P. - I had found myself rooting for the French guy for whatever reason...unseeded, but he played a really nice game to start out with. Those times when he suddenly backed away from the tension and excitement of the game and just barely touched the ball over the net were wild. He must have a real cool head, and I admire that. But I think he just got tired and that's why he lost.

I'm rooting for Federer in the final but it barely matters compared to the Venus vs. Serena FUNATHON it'll be tomorrow morning. If anyone tells me who wins first I'll be crushed. I refuse to read this thread from now on.

I know who won! And I still think Venus in Furs is the sexiest.

So Serena got it. I had real mixed feelings cause I started out the match rooting for Venus, then switched to Serena, then decided I was sticking with Venus no matter what. Sure, Serena is technically better looking, but I dunno...the steely determination on Venus's face won me over I guess. If you want to talk beauty, they're really just apples and oranges.

Speaking of black female tradgedies...the tabloids are saying Queen Latifah has had breast reduction surgery. I think I'll need therapy to cope with this.
Well, no disrespect to her, I hope it makes her happy, but still...I can't fathom it. She's got to be one of the most beautiful black women ever.

Feeder was great with his last two victories, but I got up at 5:30 on a Sunday morning to watch the final and found it a bit boring. Great skill but bad tennis, if you knopw what i mean. I like the old school rallies. Now it's all serve...power! And now it's over. Oh well.

Yeah, I didn't even bother to watch it, but I'm glad Federer won.
