Tennis. The Evil Heat Open.
The winner of the women’s final saw McCutcheon 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 stretched to three sets against a fast serving Sloth. In the end though McCutcheon proved to be too much for the big hairy one.
"You try to have a good time, but it's hard to have a good time when you're trying to fight off some of his shots,'' McCutcheon said. “I knew he just got a new racket and that the stings on my racket we pretty lose, plus he has been practicing with Maverick while I’ve been doing nothing except occasionally hitting a ball against the wall, for like five minutes before I get bored and go have a beer by the pool. Not the best training, ya know. When he beat me 6-1 in the second set I thought oh shit I might lose this motherfucker. Time to spike the Gatorade. But then when I heard him crying like a little baby over a tiny blister I said to myself, you can’t let this fuck beat you, besides the party is always way more cool if you win, ya know?”
The winner of the men’s final the following day saw McCutcheon 6-3, 6-4, 6-0 beat Sloth in consecutive sets.
“I came out to just play my game. I thought if I just play my game and he plays his game, then I might be able to win. I was a little scared he might take me out of my game in the second set but I stayed with my game and then by the third set I knew I was playing my game well and he wasn’t playing his game as well and then the heat got to him and I told myself, now McCutcheon just keep playing your game, and so I played my game and won.”
