Martino, I was going to ask to stay the next world cup, but me being me, and time being time I was like why bother. but who the fuck really knows? You and me might be best mates by then. Two old men watching football and the girls walk by (bye). As for the posting the time difference is killing me. When I'm around the football and all the good ideas flow there is no computer and when I'm around a computer the ideas go blank. Now i have to sober up before the next USA match. They still might not go through if Poland plays like poland realy can. don't let two defeats suprise you. France didn't score a single goal!!!!!!! Today was 90+ and I played footie and have sun stroke. I was supposed to go to Julia's graduation- but missed it. now Amanda is outside waiting for me naked. Sex is like life and death, but actually it's much more important than that.

What do you think of all those yellow cards in the last Kraut game? a fucking shame. he has to be fired by FIFA, the fucking Spainard. and as for stories I like the one about the guy from Senagak getting arrested before the match (rumour has it he goes out with Winnona Ryder) and then plays against France and wins, and then the store doesn't prosecute and then even gives him a new gold necklace for free.

brother, sunstroke is worse than anything that rosie or rachael could do to you, so be gentle to yourself for a while.

i made a big mistake: talking about the next world cup while the current one is running is a big sacrilege -- tantamount to having a fantasy about a girl you recently met while you are screwing your girlfriend. if germany loses soon, it'll be all my fault.

having said that, of course you will be my guest in 2006, no discussion. but what is this about old men?? damn, if you'll be an old man in four years what will i be, undead?

of course, i might already turn into a fucking zombie by the time the germany-paraguay game is over. word has it that michael ballack is suffering from a hardened calf muscle and might not be able to play tomorrow. he was directly or indirectly responsible for most of the kraut goals until now. if he is a goner i see muchos problemos contra los paraguayos.

it will be at 8:30 AM saturday local time, i'll be with my beer-sponge pals at the Cut Club which is the local place to be for good beer, wurst, a wide-screen tv and fine dj's before and after the games. if we win i think it's gonna be one of these rippin' hot hazy summer days to remember.

bad calls and bad plays are self-rectifying in the end. just look at maradona.

I just can't believe this World Cup! The Polish side that I knew had more talent then they were showing destroys USA. And Portugal got no respect from South Korea, and neither should they. If the mighty Figo and his pals had been playing another European team knowing that USA was down 2-0 and only needed a tie to go through, they would have just played kick ball with each other for 90 minutes. But not South Korea, their fans want goals and they played to win almost the whole match. And if another Europe powerhouse fails to reach the final 16 so be it. The old guard is gone. I hope that by the next Euro 2004, we will see a brash display of younger players who are hungry for it all. These matches are fucking great. Great upsets and surprises- I mean isn't that what we really want in our sporting events. And look at Germany and Brazil- the two teams who have combined to win the most World Cups ever, both written off as no hopes and they could both win it all. Even though my money is more on Brazil- sorry Martino.

RUSSIA LOSE HEART STOPPER!!!! TOO BAD OLEG HAS NO HEART!

Was the Russian manager dead or just on opium? All his team needed to advance was a draw against Belgium. And even though they went down, they were still in it for most of the match. When Russia scores- nothing, not even a smile. Belgium even went ahead by two goals and there was no expression of anxiety, he just sat there on the bench. And then Russia comes back within one goal with three minutes plus stoppage time, and he barely got to his feet. I've heard of letting the players play, but does this man have a heart?

captain josé luis chilavert is a 200-pound monster and one of the world's best goalkeepers, perhaps right up there next to kahn. if his team does well enough he will be a candidate for the next paraguayan presidency!

meaning, they will probably kick germany's ass on saturday.

btw mc: my bet was for germany making it to the finals against brazil but i am not counting on them winning. i was born in sao paulo; it doesn't bother me one bit if your bet is on the boys from brazil, and i'll be more than happy if any of the two makes it.

Fucking fuck fucking fuck Stuart has just come over and I've got up only after 2 hours sleep and the World Cup isn't on. So you can't see the cup live on tv in America!!!! Didn't we put a man on the moon about 20 years ago or so? I mean it's not even on the sports channels we pay for, the one carrying all the matches. Fuck you ESPN.

England goes up 1-nil early. Not that I can watch it live.
