Bayer Leverkusen started its Champions League campaign with a shocking 3-0 win over sluggish Real Madrid in a Group B game Wednesday. Leverkusen outplayed the nine-time European champion to gain a measure of revenge for a 2-1 loss to the Spanish side in the 2002 Champions final.
