I'm saying Favre is great we gotta keep faith and the ball is in the air and ..what?.. and so I look for a flag because I think the reciever must have been dragged down. But no. And I don't blame Brett. Fucking 4th and 26, though. Aw Shit. The only time the Egals had the lead was when they got that last field goal in OT. Aw Fuck. And why can't we keep a 14 point lead? And why couldn't we score in the 2nd and 3rd quarters? I feel like we played better than them. And so what if McNabb ran for over 100 yards. We also sacked him 8 times. Aw Fuck. 4th and 26.

God damn fucking 4th and 26. I woke up last night in a cold sweat over that. Oh well. And I hope Brett never plays for another team, because as much as I liked Big Mike, I learned living in Seattle that I am always, fucking always a fucking Packer fan. And if Brett moves, well then I'll be supporting his replacement. (but of course i'll always love Brett) Not the way I don't really like Mike the Walrus, who when I met him I said, "Ya know, no one remembers Vince coaching the Redskins."

GREEN BAY, Wis. (Jan. 16, 2004) -- The Green Bay Packers fired defensive coordinator Ed Donatell and tight ends coach Jeff Jagodzinski.
"It's a very difficult decision, but it's one that I felt I had to make at this time," coach and general manager Mike Sherman said. "I do feel I have to make decisions that are I feel in the best interests of the football team at this time."
The 46-year-old Donatell, a 14-year NFL coaching veteran, served as defensive coordinator since 2000, named to the staff by Sherman as Green Bay's incoming coach. Donatell coached defensive backs for the New York Jets from 1990-94 and the Denver Broncos from 1995-99 before joining the Packers.
The 40-year-old Jagodzinski was a college coach for 14 years before being named to Ray Rhodes' staff in 1999. He was retained as tight ends coach when Sherman succeeded Rhodes. He joined Green Bay after serving as offensive coordinator at Boston College in 1997-98.
The Packers lost 20-17 in overtime in the second round of the playoffs to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles converted on fourth-and-26 late in the fourth quarter, with Donovan McNabb passing to Freddie Mitchell to set up a game-tying field goal.
That play came after Donatell decided to play a four-across zone after three straight blitzes had backed up the Eagles to their 26 with 1:26 remaining in regulation.
But Sherman said that call was not the reason for the team's coaching changes. He said the changes stemmed from a season-long evaluation.
"Yeah right," said McCutcheon sitting on his couch, dreading a Sunday without his Pack.
"Anything else smart ass?" Someone asks.
"Yeah, I would a double bagged it. And not thrown an interception in overtime."

Mc, thanks for the thoughts during the Carolina game. I felt for you when the Pack lost. I was watching it and thought they seemed not like themselves. They still kick ass though.
Speaking of kicking ass ... y'all gotta throw us some good vibes this weekend against the eagles. I've gotten a few e-mails and even a comment on my blog from eagles fans who think we don't have a chance in hell against them.

An ass kick all the way, baby!!! We're off to the superbowl! Who the hell woulda thought it???
I wanna give a quick bit 'o info as to why people in my town are such ardent Packers fans as it's not just because the team is close by (Charlotte is only about 45 minutes north). First, the owner, Jerry Richardson, is from here (Spartanburg) and has did alot for this town. He brought the national headquarters of Denny's down town when he used to run the company. Also, he graduated from Wofford College which is also in town and thus that is the reason the Panthers spring training is here every year. They practice about 10 minutes from my apartment.
Anyway ... thanks for the support and keep your props coming next week.
Mc ... how long will it be until you're an east coaster????

Very good win. Pathers did what Packers couldn't do, hold on to a lead and put them away. And we all know the farther you go the better the win feels and the biteer the lose is. And for Eagles three times into the conference championship and three times losers, twice at home, in a row. That's gotta hurt. ouch.
