The Rabbit Has Landed

Post by Sloth »

I just wrote the greatest 3 page post ever that explained the whole universe and then I lost it. It disappeared. Goddam it. I will summarize...

1. Nothing personal Myke. I am sure you are a great new breed of compassionate Southern liberal pinko communist.

2. I know Baptists don't use or abuse altar boys. I was just making a statement to expose the hypocrisy of religion. I don't believe in a Christian God. I think its all brainwashing and smoke and mirrors.

3. Unless they are stopped by the UN Security Council, Bush and the Republicans will reap what they are sowing, namely death.

"Southern liberal pinko communist". HA! I don't think I've heard such a phrase since watching Archie Bunker on 'All in the Family' years ago.

I don't believe in the Christian philosophy either. Which is why I'm not a regular church goer and the rest of the family is (mostly). I do think you're way right about the hypocrisy in organized religion. It's an absolve your sins on Sunday so you can sow them again during the week kind of mentality. Again, I'm more of a Deistic philosopher.

It'll be interesting to see who opposes Bush in the next election. Governor Dean of Vermont who is running as a Dem is the first I've heard openly and fully oppose the Bush admin's policy. The Repubs may well be able to put Bush back into power if the military intervention is not a quagmire.

Personally, I'd like to have a constitutional amendment passed that does away with the electoral college system and institutes direct popular vote. The current system is reponsible for Bush having not won the popular vote still being in the White House. Also, if a state like mine is foregone to go for the conservatives, it leaves more moderate voters like myself feeling as if voting is moot as we're so overwhelmed at the polls.

I think that Myke sometimes rubs Martino and Mark and others the wrong way but I secretly think Martino and Mark and others love that Myke posts on Pax Acidus.

i love that he does.

i think he brings a different opinion to the table- and that important, and useful, and wonderful, all at the same time.

It's way still weird to me that I can never quite fit in any place. I'm wildly liberal to southernors (especially in environmental issues). I'm right of center to the Pax Acidus crowd!

Rubbing people the wrong way sometimes I can handle. Any day now I expect to come on here and see plethora posterus no longer under my name. Rather I'll see "souther liberal communist pinko".

Tennis anyone???
