Since the United States can't convince it's citizens to adopt a National ID card complete with biometrics, we are going to force Canada to use them if they want to enter the United States. What is wrong with this picture? <a href="

We've really had national IDs for a long time. Social Security cards and driver's licenses. Even those who don't drive usually have SS#s. You can track down virtually any info on a person if you know either of the two.
Personally. I love Canada. And Austrailia. Only problem with Canada is that they really have had some extraordinarily lax immigration standards.

good point myke, but ss cards dont come with pre-installed biometrics. this country is slowly becoming a police state. i dont think any of us want that to happen.

Don't be overly paranoid. I don't think it's quite the way of a "police state". Not yet anyway. It's not the government to me as much as the internet that makes it ever so easy to know anything about anybody. Hell, look at these posts. They're out there for the world to see and any decent hacker can track them back to the originator. I simply ain't gonna worry to much about it. Realistically anyone really can just about find AnYTHING (just about) out about anyone else by clicking a few keys on a keyboard.

we could all get little web cams to make it even easier for everyone to know everything about us. i for one would love to see a slick sloth coming out of the shower.

The card would have a magnetic strip like a credit card and when swiped could show your health history and lots of other potential stuff ... credit history, criminal record, perhaps even dna.

Ooh, I love the Disco Duckus. I've been playing a wide range of tunes to my unborn child. The fetus seems to be a big Five Stairsteps fan. Kim's going to Mexico in March for some R&R, so I might head down to Seattle for some good times for a weekend.
