Luck?

Damn,
My cousin is in Austrailia right now, because her friend won a trip there on Hollywood Squares! I almost shit my pants when I heard that, I have been wanting to travel so bad, and here she is, and she can pay for it if she wanted to. I slave 8 hours a day at Burger King, it will be a long long time before I can go to Austrailia, anyone else won a trip anywhere?

i once won a trip to Burger King. They had free refills of soda. man, I have worked in fast food and it's a tough gig. Tell your sister to pay for your trip and that you will pay her back. And if you don't have the money to pay her back that's between you and your sister.

Haha...
ya well someday in my dreams my cousin will pay for me to travel, but c'est la vie right? Burger King can be a tough gig true, but actually I really like it... It's not nearly as bad as you think, and as long as you are not a complete jerk-off, they will never question you or fire you... Then again... I am getting paid seven bucks an hour to drop fries in a deep fryer and make a few chicken sandwhiches... life could be worse...

yeah, you could be working for the sanitation department or the medics near the Gaza Strip peeling dead corpses off the sidewalk.

sorry, that was uncalled for.

It's the new economy and we all get to reassess what luck is. I'm certainly feeling it and it makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one. You're right Jack, no need to apologize.

damn straight...
I could be doing a lot of things that are worse.. good lord I am lucky to HAVE a job! Unemployment is sooooo terrible right now... I am very skilled with computers, but being that I live in washington, and all those boeing ppl were laid off, I could not find a computer job anywhere!... Like I said... at least I have a job, there are those les fortunate, and there are those that are picking up dead corpses in more places than on the gaza strip... Jesus.. did anyone hear about that bali nightclub? then there is that sniper... I heard one dood on the radio say.. "Well ya gotta fill up your gas tank, so I guess that makes me open game?"... What was that quote again..? "Be happy we live in interesting times..." or something like that...

hey man, i feel the same way! i always hear about these people who travel and thats ALL they do. how the hell do they have any money to travel and thats it? hostels, i guess. anyway, you may want to look up kumuka expeditions on your handy little internet. they have these package deals that alot cheaper that most and you get to do alot more exciting shit! (but im sure the plane ticket is a pretty penny) AND they DO have this "win a free trip" all you have to do is submit your greatest vacation photo. but, hey, who says it cant be just a photo of a super awesome place in your hood? and you could always look into working for them. beats fliping burgers.peace
