wow thanks you guys. I was a bit worried thatthere wasn't enough world travel or inebriation in my story. Glad you liked it anyway. I guess I should continue going over the rest of burnt, which I carry everywhere, but havent looked at in a while...I want to see the rest of it too! Things are happening, lets keep it going!

yeah, L.A. is kind of like a go-kart track in a car, if that makes sense.

Martino- First of all, I really liked your story. I knew you were a businessman, but didn't know that you could create as well as represent literature. Bravo, and Kenorbi sounds like a good gut to get into some adventures with...kinda like McCutcheon. If you have any other stories with you and he involved, I'm sure there'd be a PaxAcidus audience for them.

As far as riding a scooter in L.A., yes, one who does so is an object of ridicule. It is a symbol of not being wealthy enough to compete by buying a nice car. Even people with crappy cars are ridiculed in certain circles. It wasn't an exaggeration in the movie Swingers when the main characters go to a Hollywood Party and the sexy girl's opening question is "So what do you drive?" I've been to those parties, and had to answer those questions. After a bit of that, your self esteem goes a bit south. That's the Land of Legends, though...
