why is there a wisconsin or iwowa or north or south dakota

Why is there a Wisconsin? Such an absurd question! Imagine 100 AD without a Rome! Seriously though, if you are an avid beer drinker, Wisconsin has it's tastes there. Cheese is another staple. But what is better is beer with cheese. I can't speak for Iowa though. South Dakota is a tourist trap, mainly western S. Dakota. The best thing to do in S. Dakota is backpack in the badlands. You can make your own path, but eventually will come across an uncrossable river, which leaves you hanging. Why is there a Wisconsin? Such absurdity I have yet to hear.
