House Sitter
Anybody interested in house sitting? Tommy towers has a big dog and we are going on the road. This is a great house for mooching about in. The artists on here could create in peace. (We have a piano.) We have every TV channel going and as long as you don't hurt the dog and don't steal our paintings then you can do what you want.

Sadly, yes.
The thing is, Mrs Tommy has just got another promotion. She is now the GLOBAL director of whatever it is that she does. She didn't want the position because there will be more international travel. As a compromise, (alongside the payraise) the company said that for any visit over a week they would fly the family and put them up for free. Seeing as her company has it's headquarters in England and are looking to expand into Australia and Japan we thought we would take advantage of this. Last year, she was in England for three weeks straight on one of her visits. As much as I would love to drag the kids round the world for free, I'm worried about my dog. I couldn't drop him off at a kennel for a month.
A house sitter is the way to go. Some folks on the board have done this for me before.
Nothing is definite yet. If anybody wants to see a picture of the dog or the house, then there is a website I can direct you to.

Damn, she had them where she wanted them. Congrats to her, even though she didn't want it, and I hope you and the kids get to enjoy the travel. How does one get a job like that? I knew she was smart, but damn, she must be indispensable to them for them to agree to fly the whole family all over the world! Once again, proof that the life of a struggling artist type doesn't pay.

grass is greener even in Ohio
and it pays to be a house husband. as long as the wife is a good little earner.
Well that would be kindof interesting. Fly into cincy and house sit. Piano too? Wow, I was just thinking about how I kindof miss having access to a piano like I had in my old place. Thing is I wouldn't want to play it while my roomates were around, though, and this way I wouldn't even have to worry about that.
I guess I'd consider it, depending on the details of when and how long you'd be gone.
