During the longest year of my life, when I lived in New Jersey, I would drive into the big bad city at the weekend. Parking is a nightmare. Also, the parking fines are higher than anywhere else, and you don't want to have to make the trip out to the trip out to the Brooklyn shipyards if your car gets towed. (No you don't whiteboy) When you find a spot that is not metered, pay very close attention to the bit about being moved at 2am or on Tuesdays etc. Short term infringements will mean a ticket but not a tow. I had a great time once using a hire car, just before we left Jersey for good. We racked up a bunch of tickets and threw them in the bin. We never heard a peep from the authorities.

I hope you haven't left for NYC yet. Another thing I did was park up town. West or east of the park in the fancy streets (Never above 80th) if they didn't have restrictions and then head to my destination. I knew the car would be good there for a few days. That's if I was staying in town for a weekend. Parking in the village is crap and in the east village it is shaky.
no i haven't left yet, my cat was sitting in the window and the window came down and crushed her paw. she was hanging from the thing screaming and i got her out but her front left is really fucked up and i'll have to take her to the vet.
Plus Mccutcheon hasn't gotten back to me so i'm starting to think there is a problem with my visit.
But much thanks again for the parking advice! I would still like to leave tomorrow.
