I'm leaving tonight. It looks like i won't have to amputate my cat's paw. remember though that Jackie K loved his cats and would have delayed if he saw what i saw.

Burnt Face Jake has been in NYC. He even found parking. He is currently in Park Slope looking for apartments. I'm working.

I thought we were talking about Jackie wife of JFK here. Are you in a time warp, McC? Is she in your apartment?

Guiness Book of World Records

Post by bfj »

So I drove from NYC to MIlwaukee, it only took 15 hours (870) miles and I get home and my housesitter is AWOL with my keys and not answering his phone. So locked out I go to a bar and drink 12 pints of Guiness in an hour. The bartender is just looking at me like "What the fuck is wrong with this guy" then i stumbled over to my car and slept in its freezing hatch. when i wake up i get a message from jack and my drunk housesitter saying they put my keys under the stairs...

a small point but one worth repeating....

I read NY scribbles. St Patrick/paddy/patty - yes they do call it that, along with halloween and the day of Feb 14 are not holidays. As much as we wish they were the powers that be will not grant you day off with pay. It pisses me off no end. Not as much as when I first arrived here. A holiday is when you get paid for not going to work.

the living dead don't get a holiday

Post by mccutcheon »

Is calling in sick a holiday? If you don't have a job can you have a holiday? I know a French girl who never worked and lived off the system. That didn't stop her from going to Spain for a month every summer. But you are right as usual. I say St. Paddy's Day is my favorite holiday in jest. But it is all a lot of fun.

St Paddy's might not be a holiday but it does have a parade. And everyone loves a parade, right?
