Vegas, baby, Vegas

Post by mccutcheon »

Mav and I will be in Vegas Sept. 27,28,29...can anyone meet there on the 29th and stay for a few days? To fly in and out is super cheap and to stay is cheap and drinks are sometimes cheap and as long as you stay away from the gambling and hookers and shows- that's up to you, it can all be done cheap. Who's up for it?

Or is it Veges, baby, Veges? No, I think it is Vegas. That would be Los or Las Vegas to you.

With that much notice in advance, it might very well be possible. You gonna let a guy crash on the floor???? Might also be a fine opportunity to meet the legendary Mr. Maverick.

I've been watching all those world poker tour and celebrity poker tournaments...we'll have to play some texas hold em.

It would be cool to meet some of the other Paxacidians...and what better place than Vegas...well, ok the list is too long to mention, but vegas works too.

I'm not from Vegas. My grandpa has to go to the US to be with my aunt and I need to go with him because he can't travel alone. If plans would push through, I'll lbe in the US sometime in mid-September until November. I have a friend who is from Vegas and she wants me to meet her there so I might see you guys there as well.

I just hope that the people from your embassy here would approve my visa. They really exert an effort to be extra rude. They act as if everyone wants to live in the US for good and they just won't allow that. I'm a citizen of the world, anyway. This makes me want to visit Bush once I get there.

I can't think of anything worse than a weekend in Vegas. If you take everything bad about American and sum them up in two words... its Las Vegas.

However if McCutcheon is gonna be there , then why not.
The last time I was in Las Vegas with McCutcheon we were doing acid with Trevor and Shanta and those lovebird Irishmen. What were you doing the whole time Mc? Taking peyote in the desert with Jen or something? Do you even gamble? I can't remember.

And how bad is the food in Vegas? Everything is a buffet and the quality sucks. The drinks are not exactly premium pours. More like coke and wood alcohol.

What exactly is the allure?

Its like Disney World without the charm. (That is a joke there is of course no charm at Disney World. I don't want to get flamed for liking Disney because its not true, although I liked it when I was 10).

My favorite thing to do inVegas is to drive down the strip hanging out of the passenger side window and yell "You're all going to hell!" It makes all of the heartland Christians who decided Jesus would look the other way for a few days get a guilty look for a second.

Actually this doesn't sound undoable. I've been trying to figure out how to go somewhere this summer without breaking my poor little piggybank, and it seems like it'd be cheaper than flying to L.A. or the east coast. Will it just be for those three days? You mention meeting up on the 29th, but isn't that the last day you'll be there?

Las Vegas seems dodgy to me, too, Sloth, but that's exactly why I don't fear it: I have such a bad impression of it that I bet it probably isn't as bad as I think after all.

I want to meet on the 29th and stay a few days- like three after that. before that I won't have free time. Vegas is a place where you can make your own fun. And it can be cheap.

Picture this: the Pax Acidus posse. We buy beer and walk down the street, it's legal. Cost? $10. On me. And if Tommy is there the gab is free.

Can we have a status report on the Vegas scene. Is it one of those deals where your employer may backout? Are you going to be working during the day and up for it at night only? Who is on the bus/plane?
