You see that mountain on the right, I skied down that shit!
Speaking of shit, I almost shit myself on the way up. Its way higher than it looks. Linda wants to go heli-skiing, but I told her I am heli-afraid of heights and not to sure about that (plus it costs $1,500 bucks).

Ouch, I'll stick to the city.

TACOMA, Wash. - A climber injured in a fall on Mount Rainier was plucked from high on the north slope by a rescue helicopter, but he died before reaching a hospital, authorities said.

Peter Cooley, 39, had been rescued Monday from the 12,300-foot level of the 14,410-foot mountain southeast of here.

Cooley fell 30 feet early Saturday on Liberty Ridge — one of the most difficult routes up the mountain. His climbing partner, Scott Richards, 42, was able to reach him, set up a tent and call for help on a cell phone.

When the clouds parted briefly Monday evening, an Oregon Army National Guard Chinook helicopter swept and winched the injured climber aboard.

"Although we were able to get him off the mountain late this afternoon, he did die en route" to Madigan Army Medical Center, Mount Rainier National Park spokeswoman Lee Taylor said Monday night.

Drink to this. I get redhook IPA here for six dollars. In Seattle it cost me nine. Seeing as it is made there someone is getting ripped off. Send a letter to redhook and ask them about the mark up.

Tommy what time zone are you in? Did you sell the house? are you all moved out of Seattle?

Same time zone as you. No we didn't sell the house but we bought a new one about half an hour ago. You might be able to see it at the website of the selling realtor.

www.gretassone.com it is the house in Hyde park on Victoria avenue.

Don't worry old man you are only 90 minutes away on the plane. I've driven to New York from here a couple of times as well, so you can a make a bed up when I get my shit sorted.

Anyway the important thing is that there is a pub about a quarter of a mile away. I've been going there on and off for about 14 years and know the owner. It was a toss up between buying a Mc Mansion in a cul-de-sac or trying to find a cool neighbourhood with a half decent school. We went for the latter. (For the next five years anyway) I was VERY shocked to find that the land taxes were much higher here than in Seattle. About 30% higher.

Move in date is July 15. Until them it is live with the in-laws. Not terrible, but having two little kids doesn't exactly qualify you as the perfect houseguest.

Wow, Tommy, I feel as if I am part of a real live Paxacidus soap opera. This is great: thanks for the news.
