Well I tried to submit to the bus but I ended up in a cyber-wilderness of confusion. I'll talk with you about this later.

I just want to get across to people here that I may face the extinction of my computer very soon.
I was in the middle of burning a piece of rare vinyl not-available-on-CD, and the screen went BLACK
and I tried CRTL+ALT+DEL several times and the screen REMAINED black and the CD drawer would NOT open when I pushed it manually to open. I have been having problems with my hard drive lately, but I am spooked. A black screen is not encouraging. If it's all over, I'll have to get a new hard drive which may take awhile.

Wow, I haven't seen My Bodyguard since I was...10 years old? I've often wondered what it would be like to see it again. I think it made me cry when I saw it too.

Sloth, my intention was not to give the impression that submitting to the bus was difficult, it just left me wondering if my email address was going to be posted to the entire world if I participated. I was in a pretty weird state of mind last night, for sure. It wasn't that I couldn't sleep it's that I woke up at like 3 am. But yeah there's been a lot of stuff bothering me this week. Certainly more than usual.

I did read the short story, it was funny.

ah, the black screen of doom. Shut it off, Mark. I don't know if the more computer savvy folks would agree but... I figure if ctrl alt delete don't work, fuck it and use that little button on the front (the one you should NEVER use) of the computer and shut the fucker down. I do it to this one when it gives me grief and the little bitch fires right up the next day. I'm sure I'm wrong, but it works for me.

Mark, last night I stayed in and watched a film called 'This is not a Love Song.' The movie isn't based on the song but is in the film throughout. Johnny Lydons' singing is very dramatic in places. The film is about....hmm, let's say Spud from Trainspotting gets in a spot of bother and ends up in Deliverance. Worth a watch, though I didn't cry.

Thanks for the advice, H., and that is indeed what I had to do eventually. But I didn't want to do that because that's been part of my problem. I have Windows 98 SE, so my computer only properly shuts down about half the time. So all these bad shut downs are catching up with me because sometimes I turn on the computer and it makes me run Scan Disk which takes hours to finish, and it makes me do this regardless of whether I rebel against it by pushing that button on the front.
So I realize now the solution is just to never shut it off but sometimes I just don't want to hear a computer on. I tried downloading a thingamajig from Windows that was supposed to correct the shut down problem but obviously it didn't help.

Haven't heard of that movie, McC. I'll have to check it out. I did see Donnie Darko, btw, but it left me feeling unsatisfied at the end. I think it just tried to combine too many different things.

i am glad you posted that sloth. this is why i stopped writing. my hatred and love was too desperate and evryone was bored . i don't blame them. still it was good to not sensor myself. remember when i was called a fucking whore?
good times, good times. now the bb is safe because it is mostly the voice of men. we have a 30-40 year old therapy session with h and sarah making guest appearances.

Each of those read pages needs a back button. Also don't call the short stories 'sex on drugs' because while sex on drugs is a great thing that is very limiting. I have many stories that are NOT about sex on drugs. Okay, well I have at least a few that aren't. I don't know about your stories. I've never read one.
