Pentagon: Saddam's sons are dead

Post by marky »

If I post on this thread will you guys ignore my other post about the House Of Reps, also under Paxacidus on this BB?

I have to say out of all the people who have commented I'd have to side with the Doctor the most on this issue. I have mixed feelings on the death of the sons (Lou Reed did a song called "Kill Your Sons" though I can't remember how it went or what album it was on). I do believe they were probably evil incarnate and the world is probably a better place without them. But at the same time I worry about words like "execution" and what right we might have really had under international law to actually go over there and kill them, or even try to capture them. It just doesn't seem like we would have been within the law to do that. Evil as they may have been, there are also many others on the earth just as evil. Why aren't we going after them?
Hitler was evil, but he also threatened the entire world in a way these brothers didn't. Surely we would've been within our rights to go after him more than these brothers? And by the way, are we within the law to be in Iraq in the first place? Etc etc...

Tommy, watching monkeys fly out of your ass would be quite entertaining. I honestly thought you had some good comments to contribute, but then there's that thing about wearing band t-shirts when you're over 40. I concede I wear band t-shirts a hell of a lot less than I used to (just because I dread people asking me questions, I suppose - "who's that? what does that mean?") But yet I'd like to think that when I reach 40 there won't be this terrible transgression if I choose to wear one some sunny day.

Myke, sorry I can't commit so soon to letting you stay here... we have a shared housing situation and shit is going down. Sorry. Maybe your buddy McCutcheon will put you up.

Stay with me if you want, and can handle a couch.

Guys ... the last thing I wanna do is put anyone out. After all, as sloth pointed out, I suppose you don't really know me in the true sense of the word. Everything is way preliminary at this point as such so who knows what'll happen between now and then.

Mc ... if I end up sleeping on someone's couch, it wouldn't be the first time and likely not the last. Your offer is much appreciated.
