Happy Canada Day!

I wish. I'm sitting at work today clipping Novellus and Starbucks for some nice profits. No rest for the new fathers of the world. We'll all have to get together again soon. I could go for some good music and spiced rum.

Happy Canada Day!

I just got the new Stranger today and I'm sure
I'll enjoy reading all that stuff about Canada vs. the
U.S. but right now it depresses me. Do I really have
to go to all the trouble and expense of moving to
Canada just to live in a somewhat sane country?

In better news, I read this morning Bush was getting a little upset at all the people who are pointing out the pre-war intelligence stuff. I like it because it means he's getting nervous. Here's some quotes from Newsday:

"President Bush yesterday indignantly rejected
complaints he had exaggerated Saddam Hussein's prewar arsenal and issued a defiant challenge to Iraqis who attack U.S. occupation forces: 'Bring them on.' "

Later in the article, Democratic Senator Lautenberg from New Jersey was quoted as saying "I am shaking my head in disbelief. When I served in the Army in Europe during WWII, I never heard any military commander - let alone the commander in chief - invite enemies to attack U.S. troops."

I won't even discuss the fact that Rumsfeld recently compared the Iraq invasion to the American Revolution rather than calling it a "quagmire".

Sorry for inadvertently repeating some news you'd already put under the quotes section, McC, but my real point of doing it was to quote Sen. Lautenberg, cause that's got to be one of the best quotes about Bush I've heard in awhile. I gotta wonder how the families of men and women in the service are going to react to that Bush quote.

Apparently, Bush has already raised $34 million for his campaign. Dean has only raised $7.5 million, but he is in the lead of all the Dem candidates, which I find kindof interesting. I wouldn't have expected that.

It's easy to challenge an enemy when there is no way you'll ever have to face them personally. Watch: I COULD KICK THE SHIT OUT OF LENNOX LEWIS!!! YOU WANT SOME OF ME? COME GET IT YOU COWARD!!!
See, it's fun for everyone. Give it a shot.

It's a beautiful day for Washington state. I read today that for the first time since 1998, there will be no Tim Eyman initiatives on the ballot in November!! Brilliant! I'm reminded of Rolling Stones "You Can't Always Get What You Want/But If You Try Sometimes You Just Might Find You Get What You Need". Even if it turns out we can't beat Bush, we can at least beat Eyman. One evil man is down.
