anyone have some broken heart medicine?

Post by tashasimone »

I made an appointment with a psychiatrist today, i think i need drugs, you know, the good happy mood kind, that keep you awake and not thinking about the guy who just tore out your heart and threw it on the floor? I feel like my small little world has come screeching to a halt, and its all my fault. What do you say to someone who's in love with being depressed anyways? I didnt know what to say, Im not a fuckin shrink! God I think I'll start drinking early today. And i torture myself! i keep playing his song, and crying, and keep thinking about every word he said, (such mean, spiteful things) and what am i supposed to do? Am i really that terrible of a person? I cant write, i am thoroughly out of words, i a utterly speechless, and it makes me feel so small, so insignificant, so stupid. What do you do when you have no where to turn?

don't do drugs to feel happy, no matter what the shrink says.

there are things in life that should not be made easier by medication. death and heartache come to mind for me. suffer because sometimes that is the necessary way of life. pray for strength if you feel weak and you think you can take no more suffering. for me, that is the only reason to pray but it works pretty well.

from proper suffering may come understanding. tread carefully because wrong suffering causes bitterness and that poisons the soul. find things to laugh about and search for pleasure and in time you should find your way back. this is advice easily given but it is not cheap, i hope.

thanks martino, no, it wasn't cheap advice. Not at all. My only fear is that i am already bitter, already to that breaking point. I trying to dive into other things to get my mind off of it, but of course that is easier said than done. I am focusing on my peace group, maybe that will bring some release.
thanks though.
and i do pray, I pray all the time, though lately i wonder what good that really does either.. oh well.

she was on 60 minutes last night. put that in your ghetto ass and shake it. now i make fun. but what i learned from the English, if you take the piss out of someone and keep life lite, you can't take yourself or situations too seriously, thus brighhtening the mood. or something. ya ya ya.

yeah. like mccutcheon, you can't take him serious.

tstart helping other people and you will lose your self consumed thoughts, not that they are bad or unwarranted.

tasha....just deal with it...it sounds harsh...that's not what I am trying to be though...I just went through the same shit...it took me over two months to even really break up (with arguments coming back together and so forth) and be strong enough not to call it the end of the world...so what I am trying to say...accept your feelings for what they are...be sad...but don't give up yourself...and don't forget to live...go out there...don't sit alone in your room...have the spring sun shine on you...and try to be strong...you don't have to be strong..because nobody is in that situation...but you need to try...otherwise you'll just sink into that depression and won't find a way out for quite some time...been there - done that too...trust me!!!!!!
...and I am a drama queen!!!!

You got it Martino!

Anyway Tasha, all advise is a little bullshit because a broken heart really sucks and everyone knows it but no one knows how to deal with it. So as the cliche says, you just have to wait it out. Unfortunately, also, artist types and too sensitive for this world types and Pax Acidus types sometimes love too much and get hurt too much. At least your in good company, think Van Gough, Ian Curtis, and George Bush.
