The recession increased unemployment and forced many businesses to scale back benefits, resulting in an additional 1.4 million people without health insurance last year, Census Bureau figures show. Roughly 41.2 million people, or 14.6 percent of U.S. residents, lacked health coverage for all of 2001, compare with 14.2 percent the previous year, according to bureau estimates released Monday. Many people who have aliments will now be left to rot on the side of the road. "Who cares about the little people, we just beat St. Louis yestarday" said Dr. Hardwood of the Texas health system. "It's their old dang fault if they break a leg or get AIDS."

For the sake of others, this must be corrected, but I myself have not had insurance or been to the doctor for that matter in over 5-6 years.

That's great and I'm pretty proud of my own health, but the fact remains. It's high time the government did something about health care. They
at least have finally got round to working on the medicaid prescription benefit for seniors and were working on ways to keep the price of prescription drugs down. Just because they didn't
come to agreement before elections doesn't mean they won't try again. What needs to happen is to make sure the dems don't lose their majority in the Senate this November. Perhaps we should do more than pray. It's too close for comfort.
My teacher for my Law class (which bores me I'm afraid, and makes me think of Bush way more than I'm wont to like) is a judge and he seems to think there is no doubt that once power changes, there will be an attempt to tamper with the electoral college idea so that this horrible mistake of losing the popular vote candidate to an electoral college winner never occurs again.
In any case, for any number of reasons, I think things will happen in court that haven't happened yet. This is the revelation. There's no way I can believe Bush won't end up in court, and if it's not for something he's already done, then it'll be something he has yet to do.
