Following is a story on CNN about a GHB bust. For those of you who don't know, GHB is a relatively inexpensive way to get high. The effect lasts about half an hour. It's also a fun thing to do if you are on a couple e's or too many lines and need a comedown. Most of all, it is a non-addictive 'party gag' equivalent to nitrous oxide (however a lot more fun).
The thing that bugs me about this article is that they never mention any of these things. They just say 'date rape drug'. This is meant to cause hysteria and fear.
After all, what if beer commercials referred to beer in similar terms:
"Well work is over, it's date rape drug time."
or
"Budweiser... the king of date rape drugs."
