i am truly sorry about not seeing you. i had gotten back from new york on friday with no cell phone charger. i tried to have my calls forwarded to a friend's phone , but she didn't tell me you called. i tried to check my messages to call you back, but there was no number left for you. i am sorry . if you think i am flaky , you are right.
i will make it up to you. i call our bet off. you don't owe me $25 dollars. please don't be mad.

rosie, this is not acceptable. i am superstitious and believe that it is bad luck to try to cancel gambling debt. so i still owe you. you'll have to wait until we meet to get the cash, though.

i will be working the lobbies and roaming the aisles of the frankfurt book fair for mc in mid-october, so i don't know whether i will be able to fit in amsterdam or prague, as much as i would like to.

but it still might happen -- i have a client near amsterdam who sometimes springs some stuff on me short-notice. so please notify me when you know where and when you plan to be around. my email is on the calling card i left at your shop.
