Sen. Jesse Helms, one of the most powerful pig fuckers of the conservative voices in Congress, plans to retire when his term expires in 2003, The Associated Press learned Tuesday. Two sources who spoke with staffers in Pig Man Helms' office said Tuesday the five-term Republican will announce his retirement plans Wednesday night. Pax Acidus couldn't be more pleased.

It really has been a great year for politics (apart from the whole "President" Bush thing...)

Strom Thurmond, Jesse Helms, and Phil Gramm all retired from the senate

Three less angry old intolerant white men in the Senate is fine by me

On a side note...
I went to college with Phil Gramm's kid and he was a pretty cool half-asian punk rock kid. We went to a drag party together once and I got a Polaroid picture of Jeff Gramm (Phil's son) kissing me on the cheek in a dress and me flapping my feather boa in his face.

I was CONVINCED that I'd make a million selling it to the Enquirer the next morning but it was mysteriously missing. Secret Service or something...or possibly irresponsible drunk guys who just lost it.

If you ask me, I think the Secret Service thing sound more plausible.

Did you guys know that Mr Pigfucker Jesse Helms was in charge of the Foreign Relations Department of the United States under Clinton? No wonder we fucking got attacked. He can't even get along with the other fundamentalist hatemongers.

Kyle - not long after I had read what you
wrote about Phil Gramm's son I stumbled
upon this band Aden from D.C. on TeenBeat
records who are apparently fronted by
Jeff Gramm. They are playing here in
Seattle soon. I haven't heard them yet,
but my friend is going to the show and I
probably will too. I'm told they're
"indie pop".
