War is like big scale divorce; those that get hurt the most are the innocent. But instead of broken families forced by irreconcilable differences, families will be destroyed by the death of loved ones. In this case you could argue the problem started on Nov. 11th, but if you dig deeper you will find there has been cultural dysfunction growing for more years than most remember. It's impossible to point the finger and say who started it, not unless you point so far back as religion. Now people are going to die. There is no right and no wrong. No one will win. As of today all I can do is suffer for those who have already died and those that will soon die. Personally and selfishly I hope it's not anyone I know. And I hope it's not me.

As soon as I'm done writing my last post I go back on line and read this...

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (Reuters) - Shipments of food aid into Afghanistan (news - web sites) were temporarily stopped Monday, a day after U.S. strikes and aid officials said it could take weeks before it became known if the attacks had triggered a large exodus of refugees.

The U.N.'s World Food Program said its food convoys into Afghanistan had been stopped temporarily to give it time to assess the situation.

....and I don't like the term refugee, this is what a refugee is--one that flees; especially : a person who flees to a foreign country or power to escape danger or persecution.

So does that mean that these refugees are fleeing the persecution of our bombs? They weren't going anywhere before we started blowing up Kabul and other targets. The U.S, media is using the term refugee like a dirty word, and that we are the good guys who are helping them. But we made them refugees. Now that doesn't seem fair. What's that qoute about love and war?

War is here. And from the reports I'm hearing it's here to stay. I hope the terrorists get their just rewards (asses kicked) and the innocent Afghans don't die, even though they are already forced into exile. I was happily surprised to find out that we are trying to help the fleeing civilians by dropping food for them. Their country was ravaged by famine, before now being ravaged by our bombs. And it seems like we are learning from our past mistakes. In World War 2, the big one, The Great War, Allied troops gave chocolate to the starving prisoners in concentration camps, basically killing many of them on the spot. In dealing with Asian countries we tried to help starvation relief with beef. Hindu's don't like Big Macs. It's not the best policy to serve slaughtered cattle to a culture that holds the cow sacred. And as little as a decade ago we dropped food, basically upon the Kurds fighting against Sadam in the Gulf War. The crates were boxed and heavy and we dropped them on many heads, killing the people we were trying to save. Now we are dropping small, about the size of the bible, cushioned packages of mostly vegetarian food. I hope this helps to feed the needy.

Okay I need to disable post erasings. What would Kerouac say about my Ginsbergeois self-editing?

This is what my post said (I was drunk of course and that is no excuse to shield the ego of sensitive McCutcheon)...

"I don't know which is worse, the war or McCutcheon blabbering on about it."

Ha ha it was pretty funny after all. Thanks Mc.

On second thought its the war!

I was just awakened by a loud noise in the middle of the night and when that happens I normally think someone in the name of Allah has just detonated a nuclear bomb in London and I am about to evaporate.

As for the States, what about the Anthrax scare yeah? What you thought up to one month ago was just a bad metal band is now floating around the country from New York to Florida. Don't open any mail for chrissakes it might be a bacteria or a bill or something.

Shit the US government just accidentally bombed a village in Afghanistan killing 200 people.

Word in Washington is that Rumsfield is upset because he wasted a perfectly good missile.

U.S. drops leaflets along with bombs
October 15, 2001 Posted: 5:00 PM EDT (2100 GMT)

A leaflet dropped by U.S. forces over Afghanistan says, "The partnership of nations is here to help."

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- U.S. planes are dropping leaflets as well as bombs and humanitarian rations over Afghanistan in hopes of winning support inside the country for its anti-terrorist campaign, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said Monday.

"We're working to make clear to the Afghan people that we support them, and we're working to free them from the Taliban and their foreign terrorist allies," Rumsfeld said.

There is no word yet on whether Mr. Rumsfield understands that bombing the Afghans into the stone age is likely to upset them more than the Taliban rule.

India Bombs Pakistan
--------------------

by Pax Acidus World News Reporter Ooh the Sloth 456

Apparently jealous of America and Britain's bombing of Afghanistan, India has started bombing Pakistan.

"It is very important that India and Pakistan stand down during our activities in Afghanistan; stand down, for that matter, forever," Bush said after meeting in the Oval Office with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

Then the Italian Prime Minister said, "Italian pizza is way better than Indian pizza, and everyone knows it. In fact, they probably put curry on it and shit."

Donald Rumsfield, who was fucking a naked Afghani refugee biy in the next room, screamed "Shut up ya stupid wop or you're next..."

Feel a bit Rip Van Winklish; self-immolation and associated hiatus and the rest and ad nauseum and lack of grammatical control, but surely WAR was Edwin Starr's finest moment. On that funk trip, whattabout Gang Of Four's debut single, not Damaged Goods...the other track about Love Like Sumfin...

Anthrax touches new part of Capitol Hill

By David E. Rosenbaum
The New York Times

WASHINGTON — Evidence of anthrax bacteria was found yesterday in the mailroom of the House of Representatives, the third site on Capitol Hill where spores have been discovered.

When I first say this article I thought, "Oh no! Antrax on Capital Hill in Seattle". Nervously I clicked to read if McCutcheon was okay. But they didn't mention him in the sub-heading. Then I figured they were talking about Caputal Hill in Washington DC and then I didn't care anymore.

Pakistanis Leave for Holy War
By RIAZ KHAN, Associated Press Writer

TEMERGARAH, Pakistan (AP) - In buses and trucks, pickups and vans, more than 5,000 people rolled out of a northeastern Pakistan village Saturday morning, bound for the Afghan frontier and vowing to fight a holy war against the United States.

Thousands of Pakistani men, young and old, had massed in Temergarah on Friday night with assault rifles, machine guns, even rocket launchers. A few even carried axes and swords.

Their mission, they said: to enter Afghanistan (news - web sites)'s Kunar province and help the country's ruling Taliban defend against any ground incursions by American troops.

``I am an old man. I consider myself lucky to go - and to face the death of a martyr,'' said Shah Wazir, 70, a retired Pakistani army officer. In his hands Saturday morning, he carried a French rifle from about 1920.

Holy Shit this is great news. America loves the underdog.

I've been watching daytime telly in America today. Something I haven't done in years, but there are so many channels, these are desperate times. Anyway this black comedian was on Rosie and they were talking about Arabs in an outwardly racist way. In my own prejudice I was thinking it wasn't right that a black man from L.A. and a liberal lesbian were making taxi driver jokes. They were laughing about the airport situation, how now at the airports you are not allowed to park your car and only cabbies are allowed. They both chuckled, with him saying, “those are the last people who should be allowed at the airport. He also said that as a black man from L.A. he knows what it feels like to live under scrutiny, but every time he sees a towel head he is dialing 911. I can't remember his name but he did actually say some funny stuff.

“They say we have air superiority over Afghanistan. We could fly a kite and have air superiority over Afghanistan. The bombs we drop cost more than the stuff we are blowing up.

Bush has gone ahead with new student visa restrictions. On television they interviewed foreign students and none were from England or Germany. All the foreign students the news station interviewed were non-white. And one girl said she thought it was against ethicality. Gee, you think so?

But we have to be safe. How do we do that in a humanitarian way? I don't know. I'm sticking to sex, drugs and rock n' roll. It's all I'm good for.
