what will make this better?
I used to think that
and eye
for an eye
tooth for tooth
would take care of the things
that broke us.
And I was wrong.
Death is death,
and there is a lot of it
lately.
But there is a lot of it,
always.
I see the horror of the future now
in paying back the past.
And I am not free
in the home of the brave.
there is no freedom
in the land of the free.
No god can protect us,
and I am selfish.
I am not willing to give
my life for any god.
But a human, a person...
I'd lay myself out any day
for someone I love.

Pax Acidus is not political in anyway. Change the front page back. That was a sad day, of course, but I think it will become sadder. I mourn. And I will mourn. Though I do not want war.

Pax Acidus is not political?
Tell that to the hijackers when they steer your plane into a building!

Political actions won't heal us. For me all there is to do is love. I will cry and I will mourn and what will be left for me, love. I will not wish for retribution, punishment according to one's deserts, because there is no such thing. Love is as unreasonable as hate and as real because I make it my reality. Love of life, mine, yours, theirs, it's all the same it's all not for me to take nor wish taken. I wish love into my own existence and will spread it as far as I can. I cannot ram it into a building, but I can touch and touch and touch. We all can.

The title of this thread is just plain stoopid. Also I think it's time to reread Skinny Legs & All.

Well you can't please everyone.
Did you even read what kyle wrote?

I read it. I liked it. I agree with it. I also know Kyle wrote it about his job in Chicago, he wrote it in Chicago, where he lives and works. There is no Paris about it. And if it was written in Paris about his job in Paris, besides being in French, it would also have different meaning than what is happening in the States. I know there was a vigil at the American Church in Paris, a place we all know well, but this makes more sense when you take it in it's real context. Why not go the obvious way and call it Guest Star Kyle on the tragic events of Sept. 11th.

Well I met Kyle in Paris and it sounds cooler than Kyle from Janesville Wisconsin.
I'll be off to jolly old England now.
Ta.

you might be off to jolly olde but it will take awhile waiting at the aero port even if they let you leave today. And by the way it was good to get pissed on Guinness and see B&S together on your last night.
p.s. you might as well hand over that Swiss Army knife right now.

Well I am in England now. Oxford Street. Already had a pint of Extra Smooth. Will probably go back and have some more. I can't believe how well everything at the airport went. The only thing that sucked is that i got charged 440 bucks surcharge to bring all my stuff. I am going to dispute the charge.
On the stereo right now is a vintage oasis tune and all I can think is Liams gravelly voice is domestic and I'm the foreign cunt. Sweet.
My apartment is very small and in a very mediocre part of central London (tube stop Old Street). I will be out and about.
BTW, I enjoyed our last night out and I miss Auslander Maggie more than I thought I would almost immediately. Oh well. No turning back now.
And I got that pocket knife in my pocket so I don't think too much about the American security.
Also, relevant to this thread, everybody over here thinks America got what it deserved!
Its time for the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch.

Okay I take back what I said. The area od London I am in is not that lame. Right around the corner is a 500 year old building called the Gateway of Saint John of Jeruselem, some knights trying to regain control of Palastine a long time ago. No small coincidence that eventually Britain did invade and conquer the area and then gave it to the Jews. The fucking Taliban should be flying their jets into Tower of London not WTC. Wait I better not give them any ideas...
I had a long walk around last night and the area is quite animated to the north. It's Islington. The place where I live is called Finsbury or something. I am back on Oxford Street buying stuff like monitors and speakers. My next door neighbor is a hotty. She is 22 and has enormous breasts. I can't tell if she fancies me but she is a Law student and says she won't see the light of day except for walking between classes. Hopefully she'll get bored and come over and shag me.

why don't you start a new thread and do your London diaries under Travel. Call it Super Guest Star Kyle's friend Larry in London. Or you could go with a shorter title and just call it 'London'.
