Much as I have enjoyed this lively banter, in the cold light of day, after perusing the latest postings, I can't help but feel I may have unwittingly acted as some kinda Devil's Advocate in an already tense situation involving a group of people I neither know, nor have met, although I do feel an affinity with at least one of those involved; but rather than exacerbate the situation further, I will refrain from planting further metaphorical bombs.
MC. have faith, you haven't failed in the slightest, this sight has a multitude of excellent things going for it, and to keep up a certain standard when there's only two of you doing it is commendable, at least. I share many of your ideas, influences and aspitations, but am to bloody lazy to turn them into a reality, you two should quite rightly feel smug, your achievement here is no mean feat.
Jack, I dunno what your gripe with me is, I'm upfront, straight to the point (sometimes, when not oblique), and I don't exercise much of a self-censorship vibe, maybe you feel that's wrong, but I think brutal honesty and directness is called for more these days than before. There's so much shit and debate tolerated because people tend to be so fucking liberal with each other - why not say what you mean and say it mean. as long as nobody's getting hurt I think its the only way forward.
And finally, I'm not a complete selfish bastard - If I had had kids, I would never have made such a statement as I made a few posts back, and the reason I don't have kids is possibly that I am barely able to look after myself in a responsible manner, never mind something as precious as a new life I was responsible for.
