So you support the Green Party and you want Nader to win. You want to keep abortion legal and allow women control of their own bodies. But then you hear all this fuss about if your vote will count enough in the close "open" states, like Washington. Well Mc Cutcheon will make it easy on you. Just remember that "a vote for Bush is a vote for Nader!" Now go out and do the right thing!

my dad voted for nader, which is fine by me, because he would otherwise be a flaming 'W' supporter. i figure if a vote for nader is indeed a vote for bush, i'd rather the vote be directly for nader rather than directly for bush. anyhow, i am secretly hoping that bush wins, because that will be the weight that tips the scales in the favor of chris and i moving to amsterdam for several years. or we'll go anyways. who is with us? cheers~nabi

Jesus, Nabi. I am not being smug, I am clearly pushing you to move to Amsterdam! If you moved there then I could come visit you.
Anyway, I am glad to hear you are happy though. Only a happy person can say she is happy so convincingly. I have been happy too (for me anyway). Fatboy Slim at the ShowBox made me happy last night as well. Anybody go to that one?

Nabi,
So if Bush were President you would move to Amsterdam and be happy? And if Gore wins you would stay in Seattle and be sad? Why? If Gore wins can't you pretend you are a money-grubbing reuplican long enough to get out of the country?
Also Pax readers, please remember that a vote for Nader is actually a vote for Gore.
In fact, a vote for any candidate is actually a vote for any other entirely different person except the one you choose.
For instance, if you vote Harry Browne (Libertarian party), your vote actually counts for Pat Buchanon (Reform Party)!
I can't believe people aren't aware of this, its caused by all this communust electoral college bullshit!

christ, ooh, you're always so smug whenever i talk about moving to amsterdam. who said i was sad here? i'm doing my art, i have a very reliable drug dealer, i'm closer to my friends than ever before, i'm finally gaining respect from the rest of my family, i'm not flat broke, i have an excellent cat, and the best boyfriend in the world and we live in a great, inexpensive apartment with a beautiful view of the city. besides, did you not read the next to the last sentence in my post that reads, "OR WE'LL GO ANYWAYS"? jesus h. you got your seven years in paris, why are you so above being happy for me having my time in amsterdam?~nabi

i only mention sloth's smugness b/c i got het same reaction when i told you i wanted to study art there, the same speech about happiness and sadness. i don't think happiness is based on where you're living. if you're miserable, you will be miserable no matter where you are, that is my understanding anyways. cheers~nabi

sloth- what the fuck do you mean a vote for browne is a vote for buchanan? God damnit, i'm libertarian, if you knew anything about the party you'd refrain from making such presumptious comments in the future. A vote for libertarian is a vote for god damn freedom in this shit hole. shit. NOt that i'm comparing, but did the god damn roman empire get built in twenty years?? fuck no. I've never been so angry listening to some of the comments made by people in this years race. There are libertarians holding office out in California right now, and around that county where they just passed a law to where you could grow pot plants in your back yard. And the libs had a lot to do with it. Shit, I'm one of the more unpolitical people around, but I just might help out in my local libertarian party come next elections, might just devote my life to them. YOur vote is supposed to actually mean something to yourself. If you vote for nader, then you better not be thinking that you voted for Bush, because then you're a shithead if you do. And you're right, the electoral college should be tossed to the wayside, right there next to the constitution, our freedom, and our country. How many peoples lives would change if Harry Browne did somehow win the race? Alot. All these people that need the government to live, who rip bore and bushe, just don't understand politics, because if it was anyone besides the two party system holding office, they'd be crying and dying.
I do like your site. At least I haven't seen any sites like this where two guys pour their expressive thoughts out for the entire nation to read. A lot of your guys writing resembles some expressive and impressionistic views, if that makes sense at all. Expression along with the slice of life. Keep it real.
jack is out, and drunk

umm, jack, take a pill or two (i know i would if i had any). the point i was trying to make was irony. i mean, its so bullshit when some dumb american talking head Gore spokesman says a vote for someone is really a vote for someone else. i mean, yeah thats the point i was making. anyway, i DID vote libertarian last time around but i kind of refuse to vote for someone anymore who says if they win they are gonna stay at home and watch television. i mean, isnt that the problem with this country in the first place?
