A Thanksgiving Thought

If you have food in the refrigerator,
clothes on your back,
a roof overhead and
a place to sleep...
you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness...
you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment,
the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation...
you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.

If your parents are still alive
and still married...
you are very rare indeed.

If you prefer France to America, are capable of multiple orgasms, have no money, and drink excessively, then you are Mc Cutcheon.

If you voted green, prefer sleep to consciousness, ecstasy to orgasm, and spend the majority of your waking hours on a PC, you are me.

If you love cops and the USA and all the lies they sold and you bought in high school then you are not on the bus and need to go eat some more turkey and think about life!

if you worship radiohead, enjoyed charlie's angels a lot more than necessary, are afraid of the dark, spend 1% of your days at your job actually working and spend the rest of the day on msn messenger and the likes of paxacidus.com and ishipress.com, truly believe that some day you will win the lotto and buy a wee island in the mediterranean, sleep next to a moby look-alike on one side and a morris look-alike on the other than you are nabi.

i don't celebrate thanksgiving. i went to my mother's house and ate kimchee and rice, watched golf with her while my father is in argentina, took a jacuzzi bath, took a nap in an actual bed. lord, i forgot how wonderful an actual bed is as opposed to a futon--a bed with a mattress AND a boxspring, up off the ground on a frame with a headboard and a foot board, adorned with crisp clean sheets and an almost brand new fluffy down comforter. you'd think you'd fallen into a cloud. i think i am most thankful for that nap i took in that bed.
