Coppers wonder why people hate them. Stories like this are the reason why. 90% of cops would have let it slide. These losers had to be assholes and give the rest a bad name.

anybody want to write a grant proposal for environmental tradebooks for kids in a title one school? i'm actually wondering if willie has a foundation for this. i think jimmy cheeseburger in paradise might . . . anyone want to do the research for it? anyone want to just give us the f-ing money?

Envoronmental tradebooks? What are those? We have to help the kids in the title one schools. Those children are our future (muggers).

i can tell you all the research that links low literacy rates to low socioeconomic status to high rates of incarceration . . . you would not be surprised.


trade books are sort of like what mark mentioned about a library inside of a classroom when he was in school. it's recommended that there should be at least seven different titles per student -- novels for kids that are based on something that we can relate to our curriculum (like the novel the talking earth, a seminole girl comes to terms with the destruction of the florida everglades for commercial development)

trade books, just having them in the classrooms reduces the chances of kids going to jail. books keep kids out of jail. it's a fact.
